I haven't heard any mention of a "Dundee 2.0". Is this news?

Available on the shoebank, but no photo:

There was talk not long ago, possibly in this thread, of a new line of calfskin Dundees being introduced.  Not sure what the 2.0 refers to though.  I think the Dundee was available in leathers other than shell in the past.  I've seen suede Dundees on Ebay before.

I recently purchased a pair of black McTavishes at this price and really like them. Take a look and see if your size is available on shoebank.com.

I guess I half agree with this - the McTavish is way more casual than the Kenilworth, so they kind of serve different purposes.  But....the brown/natural colored detailing present on the Black McTavish is great - not at all like completely black on black perfs.  The $117 is insane - I would absolutely get both the Kenilworth and McTavish in black if they are available in your size.

Thanks for the suggestion, however they are not available in my size.  That said, it seems as if there are mixed feelings regarding black perfs on this forum.  I tried on the Lexington at my local store and really liked how they felt, so I am assuming the Kenilworth will fit very similarly.

The "black" leather used on the McTavish actually looks very dark navy to me. Anyone else notice this?

I decided that I wouldn't buy more than one pair of black dress shoes, but the McTavish (especially at $117) changed my mind.

They're doing the Dundee in calf leathers this fall, and maybe even a grain. Can't recall the exact details. It's possible these new options are being referred to as the Dundee 2.0, internally.

The mctavish is def a casual shoe no doubt about it. The kenilworth looks great with a suit but can also be dressed down with jeans.

Agreed. I would not wear McTavish with anything other than jeans or darker 5-pocket pants

Mcallister merlot is one of the stand out models from AE. If the 5 last fits you well it is a solid buy and a handsome shoe. They go particularly well with suits.

If you would like something a bit more versatile (for jeans and sportcoats) I would do the clifton in burgundy instead.

Kenilworths might feel larger - definitely still worth a try.

They actually don't look navy at all - with all the detailing on them they do look like they could pass for dark brown though.

I seem to like the same styles as you...I think I'll finally cave and pick up that pair of brown grain Kiowas next week after all.  Also looking at the Duke - wondering  - what have you thought about the Flagstaff (this has to be the Duke's predecessor).  Have they held up ok?  I only have one pair of DR-made AEs (Grand Cayman), and while they feel pretty durable, they are definitely not up to par with the USA-made AEs.  Wanted to get your opinion - thanks in advance.

Here's a picture from Palm Sunday, also wearing khaki grain McTavishes as my bamboo (that's what it said on the package when I got them at Marshall's) socks slip down......
