Having jumped on this bandwagon only about a year ago, it makes me wonder how I will like my AE models when they have been discontinued. Better I guess.

I know this is the "appreciation" thread but can't help myself - did you see those new lace loafer pool shoes?  I think just mentioning them is enough, I don't even need to say anymore :)

Now let's bring out some more airport code models!

My top 5 AE shoes that I currently own:

1. Strand - brown shell (just got) & walnut.. yes, i cheated with this one

2. Dalton - walnut shell

3. Patriot - burgundy shell

4. Fifth Ave - walnut (daily work shoe)

5. Park Ave - black (daily work shoe)

Other than those 5 I have some Olive Neumok's that I just don't wear often enough.  I have my eye on the brown Dundee if it ever goes on sale for a nice price smile.gif

Edit: I forgot about my AE produced Wolverine 744 LTD boots that I would squeeze at #2 and bump the Park Aves out my top 5. Haha

I have some scuff marks already on my new strands in the front on the outsole.  What is the best way to get rid of them?

Anyone have thoughts on whether the buckle on the warwicks is too thick/informal to wear this shoe with a suit? Trying to find a pic but coming up empty, probably because it's so new.

Addendum to above- what would be more versatile with a grey or blue suit, wool slacks and chinos (greys and blues as well), the oxblood or brown?

Maybe edge dressing?

If I could only have one, it would be the Bleecker Streets but then I don't wear suits that often.

I agree with everything you said there. I considered the Fifth Street to potentially be a different alternative for a balmoral captoe, but I'm thinking there is no substitute for the classic Strand. Therefore, I'm happy my one ankle boot is the Bleecker, and in Bob's Chili no less, which is awesome!
