JAB Boardrooms (and a donut)

Yeah they sure are.  I have fully broke in mine already.  Worn them pretty much everyday that has been dry since we received them 3-4 weeks ago?

Real comfortable.  Factory laces are useless.  I went with the TZ waxed 5mm laces, haven't come undone once.  I was re tying 3-4 times a day with the stock laces.  My leg is slim, uppers touch when lacing, so staying tight is a must.

Also does anyone have pics of an AE boot with reverse welt? Has been on my mind recently.

Recent Tan Dubling Long Branch GMTO. Not a Dalton, but you get the idea.

Mry8s,

Kudos on this build, have had mine for a week and put 2 wears on them already.  The color variation in the tan Dublin material is great, although they look too similar to my golden brown CXL pair - now vanquished from closet 1.

What do you all think ? Worth it for $120 ? I'm worried that it isn't just cosmetic.

Dont know if anyone answered this for you but honestly that doesnt look too bad for a second.  Especially if you got them for really cheap.  I would say that it is just cosmetic but if things start coming undone you can always contact customer service about it.

You probably wont notice it while wearing, correct?

Flat waxed Alden laces on my Eagle County that are on a split welt. Wearing them today for casual Friday. Best $127 shoebank purchase to date, I am not sure why the original EC does not get more love. My pair is probably around a year an a half old now, pretty minimal wear though still due to a growing rotation of footwear.

Thanks for the pics everyone!  I have been debating for while, @csmitty Chili Dalton's which I see have dropped in price.  I could rough around with those and then send them in for a change of welt and sole after a few years.

Also on my mind though are in no order:

- Green/olive loafers in either suede or leather.  No brand in mind yet.

- AE Lake Shore Dr. for the hell of it

- Suede shoe in the brown spectrum (tobacco/snuff or chocolate)

No purchases have been made yet due to my wife hitting pot holes and deciding to add things to our renovation which were not in the original budget.

Just got two pairs of these delivered...what a great last and boot. Why these were not issued with a tap commando sole or leather midsole with dainite is beyond me.

The light toe and heel looks much more pronounced in the pictures. once I figure out which size to keep they will be going out for a commando toppy.

I will without a doubt be doing an mto of these soon with @garland. Hope more people buy these so this last sticks around.

Congratulations on your Odenwalds. I have them in black and love them. I had to go down a 1/2 size. I agree, they need a combination tap sole.

I've also spoken to @garland about doing an MTO of these, but going to do a fitting first to determine if I can squeeze my 3E into a D...

EDIT: If they don't fit, I wonder how much begging, pleading, and bribing it would take to get this boot on another last... damn this last and its D width!

if there are half sizes available to you then you should be able to get a fit...with something only offered in one width it is a bit disappointing that there is no 12.5 offered...right now the 12 is tight on my larger foot...being cxl or a form of it I think..like my other CXL I expect it to stretch. The 13 fits well and with a boot sock probably would be good..that is before it stretches..problem is I want a spring/summer boot to wear with regular socks.. being lined and nice big fat sole there is some heel slippage but I would imagine that would go away. Not having a 12.5 available really chaps my ass!
