Extremely narrow. Like the 2 last.

Quite narrow, even narrower than the 2 last. But quite forgiving because it's unlined suede.

Hard to say, but for the price, I'd give it a try. You could always return them if they don't work.

I went true to size on these but it does seem a fair amount of gents do go up a width on the amok.  You can see in my pic I do slightly spill over the side of the sole.  Does not bother me as the fit is good for me and I prefer a snug width.  I would not be comfortable in an e width.  Also, in some pics you see the weird protrusion of the pinky toe - if that were the case for me I would have went to an e width.  I did purchase these as firsts in a close out sale for about $150 or even $100 I think.  I do believe the amok has been completely phased out though in preference for the gobi or another chukka.

Edit- lol, y'all are fast.  3 responses while I was typing mine.

I must share that I have a perfect fit in 11 1/2 D 5 last shoes(PA, Strand, Bleecker St.) as well as 108 last and 333 last shoes( Mora, University). In the Daltons and the Long Branch, I have to have a 12D. The 511 last runs SHORT compared to the others. The Long Branch has a little wider fit due to being actually made on the 511G last. I got fooled into getting an 11 1/2 in the Long Branch by just such comments as the "roominess " of the Long Branch, and I wore it 3 or 4 times ultimately realizing the discomfort was due to them being too small. I bought a 12D Long Branch and have been much more comfortable and happy!

I agree. I would recommend going TTS vs sizing down. Sizing up, at least for me, would be unwearable. I have to wear thick socks as it is.

12Ds. Spot on.

It's the regular "old" chili. Has a slight burnish to it. Being on the hardwood probably threw the metering off for the phone camera. I tried to lighten it a bit as originally it looked a bit bourbon. Bobs Chili Daltons would have been awesome. But a bit redundant.

Although I have neither, I'm interested in both.  However, everything I read on the Gobi says it runs large.  Width and length.

Can anybody identify these Allen Edmonds shoes? I bought them off eBay a few weeks ago and really love the color and fit but haven't been able to find out much of anything. The printed numbers (0377 and 1752) don't turn up in any of the old AE catalogs I've searched online and when I reached out to AE directly the best they could tell me was that they "are style 1752 which may have been a Nordstrom Anniversary Shoe as it does not show up in our system.  The shoes date back to 1992." I hoped some of the Allen Edmonds experts in here might be able to identify them. There is no printed name on the insole of course. They look like a burgundy Strand but without the medallion.

Inside markings:

Outdoor light from eBay auction, color is less accurate:

Indoor with flash, color is more accurate:

My Gobi is a 13d...my bran. Size is 13e.

That's what I remember reading.  So the Gobi fits larger.

Thank you Gents, Those Amoks have tempted me for a long time, and now I will try them.

I mistated in that first post, you are correct.

My 15D Gobis  fit well.

If the Amoks fitment was similar, I would not consider 15e.   Above, we have 4 answers confirming the narrow Amok...so today, I will order the pair on shoe bank.

No problem, I just wanted to confirm for myself, as I plan to drop sizing to get into the Gobi, being that 9D is big and 9B is unavail.   8.5D is my best bet.

I'm a 10.5 C on the Brannock device and bought a pair of Gobi suede in 10 D, and I can wear thick socks with it very comfortably.
