Updated "family photo" with my new additions. February brought me the Gobi, Patriots, and MacNeil. Still waiting on my Oxblood ERs.

I scored these shell strands during the last shoe bank sale. A couple of very minor stitching errors in the upper make for a very good deal!

Cross-post from MTO thread. Brown shell Kenilworth arrived yesterday! This was a remake of a remake, and looks like third time's the charm!

Those look great! I wish my brown Strands would come with the shell looking that good. I'm having a second pair made now that is in lasting. The first pair came in with some very rough dull shell on the toe caps. I may have taken them as seconds, but not firsts. Hoping this pair is good!

I quoted and edited the link to resize the pictures. Intentionally unspoilered to maximize viewing pleasure.

Very nice pepper! Good choice with the brown shell.

Anybody know a replacement for the late lamented Westchester?  I have a pair in Walnut and I love them to pieces; it's like an elegant tassel but without any frippery.

The Randolph seems very similar, but is it?  The photos make it look a little boxier and higher-vamped but that could just be the photos.

I would give anything for a Westchester in chocolate suede—does anyone know if anyone makes such an animal?  And while we're at it, why not more suede, AE?  GIVE ME MORE SUEDE!

It's true they barely offer any suede in their lineup. Wonder why...

Feel your pain...the Randolph is not at all similar, hate to break it to you.  Off-hand I can't think of anything that is similar.  Recently tried on the McGraw (was looking for something like the Westchester myself), but what a god-awful fit that thing was - the 234 last is really something - I guess it's great for the two people on the planet who like this thing.  Remember trying the Dornoch a long time ago and thinking the same thing then too.

Understand it's pretty different, but love my Lucca in black suede.

Yes. Haven't been trying very hard to sell them :) At some point, if you or another one on the forum doesn't pick them up, I'll head to eBay.

Planning to stop by the store this week. Monday or Wednesday, most likely.

So due to a high arch issue I have a pretty hard time with loafers - I have tried a LOT and few work, those that do are far from perfect.  Based on one of your last posts, I gave the Patriot a try.  Couldn't believe the fit on that - it was like it was tailored to me - never felt anything that didn't hurt in either the big toe joint or top of the foot/arch.  Wish it wasn't quite so boring-looking though.  Of course once my choice was between the Patriot and another Grayson, it was over.  The 97 last is like my Kryptonite - I just love the look of anything on it.  Between a Grayson that fits ok and a Patriot that fits perfectly, hate to say which was the winner.
