Are any of these 2 piece soles? I'm thinking of doing a casual boot MTO with a River sole with a bit more give than Dainite.

Also does anyone have a side by side of oxblood, bobs chili and merlot?

Thanks!

Othello is amazingly comfortable but seems to wear out on the quick side...I Had an old pair of Wilberts redone with it...very cushioned to walk on. I seem to recall that it was improved recently but I can not swear to it.

Othello is one piece

also, i am an 11d on brannock and got a 10.5d in these and they fit somewhat large. i would say there is a thumb width of space between my toes and the tips of the shoes. is that too large?

thanks.

My first pair of AE, walnut mcallisters:

These shoes have not been babied at all and are still holding up well.

I'm pretty sure I already asked this but it looks like it didn't post, can anyone recommend any AE belts that are a match for the Longbranch in waxy brown or the walnut black hills?

Thanks

The above. A lot. I was in my Wilberts not even weekly and the sole didn't last two years before the hollow heel started collecting pebbles; I sent 'em to B Nelson for resole. Never again with the Othello sole for me.

I believe someone already replied. They said for 2nds they look good, and I agree. Sizing sounds about right too.

Those look great! I also broke out my first pair of AE shoes today. Behold the discontinued Evanston.

If you had paid $395 for firsts, then yes, they're terrible.

For $177, they're great. They're 2nds for a reason.

But instead of all the hemming and hawing abd waiting for others' advice, just follow your gut! If you're not happy with the purchase, send them back.

Saddle Browm AE Parliaments from the previous Executive Collection. One of my most comfortable AE shoes.

This is great advice.

How dark do your walnut AE'S get after shine and usage? I ask because I recently purchased a pair of Walnut Carlyles. After trying them on I feel like they are too light and will be too casual. If you guys could post some pics that would be great. Thanks

Mine got dark. All shoes will get darker once you hit it with polish.

A couple of pages back I posted a picture of walnut MacGregors applied with navy and black polish.
