Honestly if it was a boot I wanted and was saving 2 hundred dollars I would get them..If they are not going to fit right then forget the good deal as you wont wear them anyway

Yeah, do that and try a few different lasts out. Makes it easy to keep an eye out on ebay as well.

I was thinking of doing the white, but it's still a balmoral. EDIT: I wonder if they could do a rough-out?

The Stone McGregor seems to be calling again. There is always the buck Leeds... and this:

As long as one can channel this:

Nice dub monks, rostov - yes, please channel the first guy's look, unless you're trying to get pelted in the back of the head by spitballs from the bad boy flunking the AP Chemistry class you're teaching...

pants are much lighter in photo for some reason[/quoget Couldn't get a single day's wear out of them, eh, Big Kahuna? Sorry for your miscue; I dropped some candle wax on a pair of tan nubuck loafers some time back, fought to remove the stains for a while, then just tossed them because of my shoe OCD. Maybe after the vinegar some sort of conditioner will help darken and blend area surrounding the stain.

I obviously scuffed my Dalton's pretty badly today.   Whats the best method for removing the scuffs?  Will the normal bourbon shoe cream be enough or will I need wax or another method?

That's not too bad of a scuff. Regular carnuba shoe polish should do the trick. If not, the cream definitely will.

Who needs dub monks when you have an RV, a green apron, and boxers? If only I could rock a Porkpie hat...

Really, it doesn't help that the guy's clothes in the second picture don't fit him so great, either - very nice shoe, though.

Somebody will have fun helping me: Please recommend a 5 AE shoe wardrobe! Business casual (with occasional suit). I live in NYC

Already have

Black Fifth Ave- Will only wear for formal occasions when they are required (not a huge fan)

Brown Strand-Love these

My thoughts:

Warwick

Dalton (Should I get a boot even if I can't wear in the summer?)

McGregor

Cavanaugh

Carlyle

My favorite color is Oxblood, but also want one walnut. What colors/shoes would you guys pick?

Thanks!

Compared to the McCallister style, I haven't been a big fan of any long wing. Until I start seeing photos like this. They are growing on me!

So 3 more:

- Bourbon/Oxblood Dalton

- Bourbon/Chili McGregor (or burgundy shell MacNeil)

- Walnut Warwick (or Franciscan)

I initially didn't like longwings either. I purchased McAllisters in several different colors over the past few years, but then saw the McGregor when it was introduced and loved it. I now appreciate longwings quite a bit, too. I like the chunky-sole look of the MacNeil, but also like the sleeker longwing approach taken by the McGregor.
