is this the "best" dress boot deal at the moment?

Ive got the Chili. I had the bourbon here at the same time and chose to go with the chili. It really looks great after some polish. With that being said, at the prices they are at, I did order both the bourbon and the brown. Ill get them here and see what I want to keep.

Im a 12D in the 5 last (park ave) and its a touch tight, probably could do an E. I did a 12E in the Bleeker and it fits great. Extremely comfortable.

I do have an 11.5 coming and a D coming so that I can compare as the 12 does feel a touch longer than the PA but it'll be a few more days until I can update.

I find the chili to be very versatile. I wear suits almost every day. The Chili works with navy and dark grey as well as with jeans. It would prob go with khaki too and some others. Im not too restrictive about the colors as I coordinate the entire outfit and so sometimes even my walnut park aves make it into an unexpected outfit.

I hope this question does not come across as too naïve.  That said, I was wondering how it is that some AE seconds become, well seconds.  I guess for that matter, the question could apply to any brand.  I understand if a mistake is made towards the end of processing, or maybe the shoe is nicked after manufacture, or the dying process might have produced an off color shoe due to the uniqueness of leather.  But why are there seconds out there with coloring issues?  For example, I spoke with someone today who said the shoe had visible streaking in the dye.  Why make the shoe?

I believe the streaking is from the burnishing that occurs after the shoe is made. Not sure, but that is the impression I got.

Those are the only 8 colors that we have for the special.  We did list 11 at first, since that was the offering last year, but 3 colors of those leathers couldn’t be re-ordered, so we only have 8 leathers to offer this year. They are hoping to expand the colors for this special if they bring it back, but it will take a bit as they have to find a tannery that has these other colors.  Please let me know if you need further assistance. "

Well, that's certainly disappointing.  First of all, where is the purple and gold leather????  I was at least hoping for a buff or tan leather option.  The white is too stark for my taste.  They need a softer neutral color.  Maybe next year.

hmmm. this is scary. worth $100 to give it a go? boots are brand new otherwise.

also, these are a 10.5 D. if i am a true 11 D, will they fit?

I was thinking of doing the white, but it's still a balmoral. EDIT: I wonder if they could do a rough-out?

The Stone McGregor seems to be calling again. There is always the buck Leeds... and this:

What boot and last and do you have any other AE's to post some sizes you have?

Honestly if it was a boot I wanted and was saving 2 hundred dollars I would get them..If they are not going to fit right then forget the good deal as you wont wear them anyway
