I know it's nothing like what our New England friends are getting but snow and 0 wind chill made me pick the Long Branches today.

I admiration grows more and more for the LB as this winter drags on...I actually hit mine with a second thin coating of HDLP...my 4 year old and I had fun putting it on...

100% agree with @csmitty  there have been enough production issues with these that you may need to go through a few pair to get a perfect one and AE firsts and shipping are way easier than seconds...If you are considering bourbon then I think 200% go with the firsts....really the only reason I can see going seconds at that price difference is if this is a shoe you will wear only a few times a year.

thank you all. and how is the fit? i just did some reading in this thread and a lot of the issues have given me pause. i might spring for the 2nds.

is this the "best" dress boot deal at the moment?
