The Lord will tell you to wear them with Khakis.  I just couldn't see it myself and decided not to get either, at least for now.

Thanks for the quick and early response regarding Shoebank.

I have a tendency to say I'd rather spend the extra cash for the lack of hassle. I am fortunate to be operating only on a self-imposed budget, LOL. That said, with this discovery, I realize that I could essentially acquire three 2nds for the price of two firsts.

These additional comments are helping me understand now what I have been reading about calls to SA's.

I would happily take any recommendations/referrals of SAs via PM to reserve for future use, and names to drop to improve goodwill should it be helpful.

Is my size being available at four locations indicative of an improved likelihood of a minor defect? I just have no way to guage I guess without any experience.

1. Hmm - don't know what you're looking for, but maybe you should just go for the firsts.  I could essentially acquire 8 2nds for the price of two firsts if I wanted to

2. Not giving out any more comments on SAs - I'm retired from that business

3. No - they might happen to have more things like Parks, Strands, etc. in your size which in turn will be more widely available.

I second what rocket and others have said - you need to call them directly.  Sending the email without a phone call is a waste of time - they will probably respond to you by the time flying cars have been invented.

This collection is truly outstanding - kicking myself for missing out on the Kiowa and Ridgeway, I know I would love them both.  You absolutely owe it to yourself to get the Black Hills - I love em every day of the week.

I have these in Black.  They are an amazing shoe.  I could wear them into combat they are built so well.   Yes, they came out fantastic.  Great job.  Beautiful color.

@Roycru - I hadn't noticed before how shiny your Ridgeways are. 'Ive been simply conditioning... by default, the Cognac Dublin isn't nearly that shiny. Have you been polishing these?

I decided to pass for now as well.

I completely missed the fact that the current 20% clearance sale is deducted in the cart. Switched my Gobi purchase to firsts... it's a no-brainer!

Yes, I use both Meltonian polish and AE Leather Lotion.

Thought you said Khakis? :) Regardless, good to hear they are working out for you.  I decided to pass - I'm way too conservative for these.

That's what I did, too. The price difference is negligible. Now just to get them delivered.

I think the olive ones will go good with some khakis'.

Apologies to the usual suspects who follow all the same threads.  Xpost from the AE  MTO thread:

I think these shoes really speak to the quality that AE is capable of producing.  Apologies for the poor pics.  The color, depth, and finish is really amazing.

Thanks! The 201 last is also very comfortable. As I mentioned before, a short wing blucher on the same last would be nice.
