So in something like the Nashua you went down a width. Also never considered that - I have never used below a D. Lastly, I thought the Kiowa was on the 555, which I know nothing about. If it was really on the 65 that would be perfect. Thanks again.

In eagle county boots I size them the same as my 65 last Balmoral and very happy with the fit

I have no idea what the 555 last is either, so you're not alone. I checked the engineering specs and the Kiowa is indeed on the 65. The 222 last is probably one of the last lasts i would compare to the 65. I would say the 108 is a closer match to the 222.

EDIT: i would recommend going up a half size, but you never know for sure until you try it on. See Kahunas comment below.

Really? I got the same size in my bayfields that i wear in strand, etc, and its almost unwearable for longer than 30 mins. I've stretched it to kingdom come and it still pinches my toes. Some people are blessed with the same size across all the lasts, but they're pretty rare in my experience at least. You're the lucky one :)

Wow, like this a lot more than the Norwich. This was on the new 2102 last, or was it a different last?

Good idea.

I've got an extra wide forefoot with narrow heels and ankles, flat arches, and a flat instep. My feet measure 11 E left and 10 3E roght on the brannock.

I wear a 10.5 3E across almost every AE last and model:

5-65 dress calf, shell, independence, and rough collection

3-333 (fits a little looser) Neumora (needs tongue pad) and rutledge (no pad)

4-234 Amok (tight in the toebox but the suede gives a lot)

7-57 MacNeil fits generous all over, but a little cramped in the toe

1-511 long branch fits a little loose but I wear thick socks with them. Dundee is a perfect fit all round

3-73 Shaker Heights fit wide but E would have been too narrow. Length is good

2-222 Eagle County, toebox a little narrow, but stretched out eventually

The following shoes I wear in 11 3E

1-511G Voyager I suzed up due to the orthotic insole
4-234 Regent Street 10.5 3E was far too narrow in the toes. I sized up and added tongue pads, and they hug my feet like gloves. Love them.

I've also been sized at 10.5 3E for the Alden Barrie Last and wear size 11 4E saucony running trainers.

Is it just me or is AE not doing themselves any favors with the factory finish they apply?  The leather looks weirdly glazed and pitted.  I am sure the quality of the leather is not in dispute, but the finish they're using makes the shoes look cheap.  The new model looks great though - wish it was available during the trunk show, I would have made something.

I dunno. I thought the black custom calf always looked like that. After 2 years of regular wear and care, my neumora look great.

Chris

I'd be happy if they'd bring this model back :nodding:. Thanks.

Do you notice a difference between your eagle county and bayfields?

Oh man me too haha. I did try on the Warwick and I think i like it. Its the new(ish) 201 last.  Longer in the toe than the 5 last, but roomier across the ball too. Thought it felt really good. I have a high instep and i was on the last notch but it felt just fine.

Nice.  Considerable improvement over the Norwich IMO.

Amusing aside:  If you search for "Warwick" on allenedmonds.com, the Norwich is your result.

I like the new shoe, looks sleek like the kenilworth but something about single monks.

@garland, are you going to get any up-close-and-personal time soon with the new SWB?  I'm trying to think ahead for MTO possibilities.  ;-)

Yeah! As soon as i have something here I'll post it up. Dont' know when that will be though. At one point i saw specs for it but now i cant find it. I believe that it's going to be on one of the new lasts that is being introduced this year.
