Kristle at the Jeffersonville Ohio store is the way to go. I highly recommend her.

Up until a few months ago, it was surprisingly my Eagle County boots (regular factor specs in tan).  I mostly wear them when it's raining or when there's been a lot of snow and slush on the ground.  People seem to really like them.

People still comment heavily on them, but I'd say my Walnut Daltons now receive the most compliments.

Walnut Strands

I bought my Daltons as seconds and the right boot has developed that wrinkling like the OP's picture.  This happened over time, they definitely started off looking like gem mint (except for some minor scuffs at the bottom near the sole on the left boot).  Can't complain...paid roughly $115 from the outlet store.

Realize that I don't have many posts, but please ask me anything you might want to know - open to any questions.  Thx.

Was the SA correct, I'm 99% sure she wasn't.

The Strand is on the 5 last, but I can see why the SA may have been confused. Up until several years ago AE would always identify the last a shoe was on with the last digit of the model number, which is why they may have been confused about the shoe being on the 3 last.

Behold my new AE rain shoes!

These are the Aberdeens, although I don't think they are called that by BB.  Wanted a rainy day shoe that I could kick around in.  The vibram sole and the raised welt will be good for this.  They are 2nds and I think I know why.  The right shoe has a rougher bumpier texture in the vamp area.  Won't bother me since this will pretty much be a beater shoe.  Thanks to @drcharlie for his sizing guidance :fonz:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Are you guys going into the stores to get these prices? Online Dalton seconds are $339. They had a sale last week or so of $50 off. I've only followed the shoe bank for two weeks now, and I don't live near an outlet.

Most of us have been following the Shoe Bank for significantly longer. During the Rediscover America Sale in October, some Daltons were $219. Shell seconds were $325 a few months ago as well. Wait around and great deals will pop up again.
