To save myself the pain of more head hunting for a chili I'll probably just buy the AE one again. But FML that name etching is SOOOOOOO tacky. How could they think that is kosher?

Does anyone have a current AE promo code?
Someone posted awhile back that Jos. A. Bank has a "Perforato" belt or something like that, that is similar to the Manistee, and said it was a better match for AE walnut than AE walnut itself.

In short, I'm very impressed with the JAB "Signature" line belts. The "Perforato" model linked to above is a better match to AE's walnut calf than AE's own walnut belt IMO! I've read that the leather that AE uses for their belts is actually not the same as the calf leather used for their shoes, so maybe this makes sense.

Here is a photo to compare:

Not only do I prefer the color of the JAB belt, the quality of the leather is noticeably better IMO.

I also purchased two in black leather and one in burgundy. Is it just me, or is the burgundy belt a surprisingly good match to "Bob's Chili"?

The "Signature" belts are all made in Italy. The leather is full grain Italian, and the buckles are also stamped Italy. The belts are also slightly narrower than AE's which I prefer since I am thin and wear slim-cut suits.

The price was $38 each during one of JAB's ridiculous sales. A great deal IMO!

Here it is, I found it! Might want to check JA Bank for this belt!

Also check out AE Shoebank online, they have belt seconds there too. J

Great boots. I love mine. They do look a little too narrow for you, but the unlined suede has a ton of give, so you likely don't notice it. Mine are the same. Would have gone up to 4E fitting if it existed!!

Agreed. I should have gone up to E more for the aesthetics as I can see the bulge caused by my pinky. In terms of comfort though, there ain't any pinching so at least I'll still be able to wear them.

Wore my FR walnut MacGregors today that I've applied additional burnishing onto. I think I'll keep it this way.

I didn't know they offered the Macgregor in a spectator.  Cool.  I want one.  :)

They look nice! I received my brown McGregors this weekend, and they fit perfectly and actually more comfy than my Strands and Park Aves. I'm planning on getting the chilis next.

These are just regular burnished walnut macgregors with black polish on the toes and eyestays.

Well, I knew that. Just joking. I think they look great.

There's a 9D "Players 2.0" in brown grain available on the shoebank.  Looks like the Player's shoe is getting a reboot in 2015.  No image available online though.

I recall many had issues with the last feeling too tight in the forefoot.  Maybe it's on a new last?

Does anyone know why some older models pop up on the shoebank after a great deal of time?  For example in 12D there have been some black Promissory Point at $127 for a while and now a pair of brown football leather popped up for $127?
