Ty.  Has anyone tried their new 15$ premium leather conditioner?  Looks like they went away with their "leather lotion" recent, and brought on this expensive jar of conditioner.  I'm wondering if its on par with saphir reno.

If they had them in my size, I'd probably pick up a pair.

I've tried searching online for pictures but it seems no one has any. Of course it will look better than the pics on the AE site. If anyone has any pics please feel free to share

Thanks,

Edit. These have been on the shoe bank forever.

I would pick those up and try to darken them into a charcoal or gunmetal colour.  Would give you a real unique boot.

If that's the same smokey grey distressed leather as the McTavish that I habe, it might be very difficult to darken without actually re-dying them. The nap is quite coarse, almost like a nubuck. Polish won't work that well.

You're probably right, I figured it was like the Neumok, but it does look at lot more coarse than the other distressed leathers.

Any chance that the Shoe bank will have an extra 20% off sale by the end of the year?

Since I'm not home, here's a picture from Dappered.

I was just admiring these pics and noticed you have black laces in the left shoe and brown in the right...

Haha, yeah I know. I didn't realize it myself until I posted that picture. A victim of hasty dressing (after a prior evening's buffing session).

Having boots in distressed teak, I agree you can't polish this leather, but you can use saddle soap, mink oil, and various conditioners to darken.

A few years back I got my hands on a pair of boots that was a prototype for the Independence line. It was called the Gwinnett if I remember correctly in a leather the called walnut haus and was very different then anything else AE has offered in the boot category. It would be awesome if something like this got introduced again. Here are some pictures to enjoy!

I tried to get a MTO of this under the old MTO program, and Allison said it had to be a shoe/boot they produced. This was one that was never introduced....

Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out how to wear the Ridgeway AE black shoes. They look nice but i can't figure out what to match it with. Any suggestions? Gray jeans? dark jeans?

Thanks
