Hmmm.  Are the BB Strands also made on the 65 last?

Yes, only the insoles and outsoles are different.

Been eyeing a pair of blue Neumoks for a while on the Shoebank. At some point, I'd like to pull the trigger if/when it goes on sale. One thing that's holding me off for right now is that I have no idea what kind of belt I'd be wearing with this bad boy. Allen Edmonds doesn't carry a blue belt (at least not that I saw when I checked the site). Anybody have thoughts on a belt source that matches the AE blue?

I want a pair of rain shoes. They need to be suitable for chinos or a suit. What are your rain shoes and what do you recommend?

I don't know if they still sell it but they had a belt called the Cottonwood in red, green, and blue to match the different colors of Neumoks. It might be worth calling a Shoebank to see if they have any left if they have indeed been discontinued.

Why not just use overshoes? I use Tingleys, and I walk a lot in NYC. On days where its a deluge or snow storm, I'll wear boots in and change when I get to my office.

I have a pair of Kiowas for exactly these reasons. Brown grain leather and dainite sole is ideal for rain, etc. They can also work with chinos or a sc and tie.

Those are really nice, but I think a lot of people on here would say they are too casual for a suit. I never know what goes with what. I do really like them, though.

I would totally wear those with a suit in black calf.

ive read that Kiowa are on Dainite but if I look at the profile of the shoe in the above pic, they look like Toby mini lugs to me or maybe a mini lug tap sole.

I don't know if my eyes are going bad afte looking at so many shoe pictures through my iPhone.

Ha need an excuse to buy the new iPhone 6.

I have never found black brogues very appealing. I am aware that the Scots and baby boomer Americans wear them all the time though.

Love brogues in general but I spring for shades of brown.

The color changes substantially depending upon the light. They appear pretty dark indoors, but outside and in areas of good light they have a killer robust hue that I could only reproduce by using a flash. Plus I'm psyched to finally have a pair of Daltons in any color. smile.gif

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Awesome Daltons! How much did you get these second Daltons for? I am also in the market for them...

hey everyone- new to the forum after lurking for a while. You guys really turned me on to AE, and a month and 5 pairs later, I have a question/problem. I bought a pair of odenwald' last month, and after wearing a couple times I noticed that one of the lace grommets was incorrectly installed leaving a rough metal edge which has worn into the tongue. Is this something AE would address? It took out a reasonable large gouge. Thanks- reading through hundreds of back posts here had been a big help-

This issue is actually quite prevalent. Most (like me) would not be bothered enough to send it back since the worn out tongue is actually hidden as it's beneath the eyestays. Most folks would file the rough edge so that it doesn't chew up the tongue. There is also no guarantee that your next pair would not have the same issue.

That's said it's your shoe and if it bothers you enough, I would recommend to contact customer service and they will most likely accept a return.
