Closeouts or Seconds?

It may be, but it is the list I received when I asked the store to send me the items on sale.

Monica will not send a list today of items not on the sale list, regardless of them being current styles in SECONDS or closeouts in firsts or seconds.

The Long Branch was listed at AE's site several weeks ago as a CLOSEOUT and no more to be made.  The live chat said so much.  But the following week, the Long Branch was put back on the regular inventory as still being made - and in some areas has been marked as "Seasonal".

Who really knows?  I don't.  But if someone tells me that a style and size is in stock for a price I like - I order it.

Thanks for the comment,

David

David, what I think you are misunderstanding is that you requested a list of those items that would be on sale and the OP requested a list of all inventory (seconds and closeouts). I am sure that monica or krystal at jville will provide me with an entire inventory list if I request that and not just what is a sale/closeout item.

I could be wrong about what list on what day was emailed for the 2 for $250 deal. But I think it is worth a phone call or an email to place the order on the list in hand. Here is why. The following was emailed to me this week for all the items on sale (2 for $250) in my size: SIZE 11: SIZE 11.5 *************************** Although some of the above are already at $99, the others are on sale for $125 ea (or 2 for $250) I suggest for folks to order what they want from whatever recent list - and get a confirmation on the $125. There is nothing to lose when asking. Good luck, David
It's curious to me that I was the one who broke the news of the 2 for $250 yet somehow David has taken posting as if he is the one to bring the news...maybe I'mjust being sensitive

He is one of the best I have come across. Been in the shoe dept for nearly 15 years, college grad, and has even chuckled about how other stores have missed the mark in customer service.

When I order from AE, I try to get the rep to get someone to personally inspect the shoes before it goes thru AE shipping. Again, it's an extra step - but most reps will say yes to adding a second pair of eyes on what I expect before shipping.

By the way - what is your closest Nordstroms full department store? Perhaps the manager of mine knows your local manager and can provide a little more service for members from this forum (50+ members here have contacted the manager - all satisfied)

I live in Raleigh, NC. The Streets at Southpoint is my closest store. Don't worry about it for me though. I don't intend to make any purchases from them anytime soon.

As I expected, not much good in my size. Should I just buy 2 pairs of neumoras? Brown and black?

Or can I just buy one pair for 125? I've asked the outlet that question but no one will answer it.

I have the neumora in brown and black...love 'em

Has anyone been able to get a hold of the 8.5D/E closeout list? I emailed them and no response.

Kristle's website was down yesterday, she also had a list of 80+ emails to sift thru. May have better success placing a phone call to move up your priority.

Thanks for the responses. 30% off would put it right around $500, which would be dangerously close to something I'd spend. Now I'm gonna have to try ever J.Crew coupon code I find... ;)

Thanks for the warning. I'm actually intrigued by a slightly higher toe. I don't usually like super knobby, which is why I liked this boot, but also thought the toe looked a tad too flat.

Bringing it back to AE (sorta): How did this boot fit compared to your AE's? I wear an 8.5D on the 5-65 last, but 9D on the 1-511 last.
I wear a 10D in both 5 and 1 last but for the Barrie last like most I size down a half size to a 9.5D. Some people curse the AE 5 last, I feel it is the best last I have ever worn. The Alden Barrie last also has a few that curse it and I would be one. The heel is way too wide for me and I get heel slip, they fit much like Red Wing Beckman's on me which isn't so great. So for the Alden #8 cap toe boot I waited till I found a boot on the Grant last which is just about perfect for my foot.

I have now passed the 12 week mark of wait for my MTO's...Anyone else waited that long or am I the lucky winner?
I'm right there with you for the same MTO, but I have waited as long or longer for Shell from AE before back when they first shifted over from carrying shell shoes in stock to only MTO. I'm not worried about it and haven't checked on the status since ordering. If you get yours before me and I don't hear anything then I will start checking!

Guys , does this little bowing looks normal to you? These are firsts from Nordstrom it looks like that when I'm standing only .

I can't go with a Narrower size since it'll kill my pinky toe.

Thanks.

Ordered a chocolate Larchmont and tan Elgin. Also ordered the walnut Boca Raton for around $160 with the coupon. Second try at Walnut Shell MacNeils landed today, brown shell Patriots land today, and black shell MacNeils ship today. My name is polojock615 and I'm and Allen Edmonds addict.
Nice additions to your collection polojock they turned out great!! There are worse things to be addicted to and I'm right there with you. Nah... your way ahead of me with some wonderful and unique exotics. Well done.

That looks fine to me. Can you pull the outside top lace a bit tighter to aid in closing the space?

Figured this was the best bet to get an answer. I wear a 12E on the 8 last, and I am looking at picking up a pair of Kenilworths. I've read that sizing for the 5 last (Kenilworth and Strand) is a bit wonky. Should I go with the 12E, or is there a generally followed rule of sizing up/down?

The Kenilworth was the most difficult of all AE shoes for me to fit. I tried 6 different sizes (all via the internet) before I settled on one that fits...and it still isn't a great fit. I wear an 8.5D on the 8 last (except for the Clifton, which I should have gotten in 8D). In the Strand I wear an 8E (best fitting shoe I own). For the Kenilworth, I finally settled on 7.5E.

In your case, I'd try an 11E Kenilworth to start.

Thanks for breaking the news, but yeah, a bit sensitive I'd say. We're all in this together!

Wow! That 8.5D list makes my 10D list from last night look tiny! It only had 46 items.
