I know last couple years they had close out styles $99 for seconds.

The Brown Grain EC was a special order (MTO), so if you want it, don't wait around. Second boots are on sale right now, so it's either on sale, or it isn't... and I doubt you'll see it again for less, if ever at all.

I can confirm that the old model Lexington is basically a Townley with a medallion. Yes very similar with the Sanford/Lamont but on a different last.

I believe there was even a burgundy shell Lexington MTOd by someone.

My Lexingtons are older, but one of my more comfortable pairs. I will definitely have them recrafted.

This is correct. They're on the 1-511 Last. Here are my pair in walnut:

I'm looking at purchasing some shell Leeds on Shoebank, has anyone gone TTS but up a width? I've been searching through this thread but am just getting more confused as to sizing for this particular model on that last. Thanks

Leeds to me run a little wide already, so going up a width won't work out well.  Tried on a pair of E-width once (my normal size is a D) and felt like my feet (particularly the heel) were swimming in them.

Hello All,

My name is Joshua and I work at the Allen Edmonds store 70 in Buckhead (Atlanta, GA). I've posted some over in the Allen Edmonds MTO thread helping folks with their shell cordovan trunk show orders and thought I'd join this thread as well. I'm here to post the new and/or interesting items that come through the store as well as to answer questions that you guys may have.

I thought I'd start by posting the newest shipment of shoes we just received yesterday. All these are on the website but sometimes an in-person photo is more revealing. Enjoy!

Cheers,

Joshua

Had a chance to stop by a store last night to see all the new (new being relative; ~ 6 months) styles. I find that my impressions from seeing the shoes in person are usually different than what I expected from the online pictures.

I really liked the Long Branch. The black in particular is really nice with the pebbled leather and what I thought was very nice finishing. Seriously thought about buying a pair, but unsure how I would wear black boots. Nonetheless, really impressed and on sale now. Note that these come with the Vibram Gumlite sole, which is light and sort of a foam/crepe sole colored black and shaped in the classic commando pattern.

Also liked the Jomoc in person - seems more like a Dundee than a shoe, which is what I guess is intended.

And then one other shoe caught my eye - Clark Street in black. Even though it is Chromexcel, it almost seems doable to pull off worn with dress slacks. I wonder how the Chromexcel wears in black, as it is going to be difficult to polish. But I liked these better than the Delray, which is the traditional calf leather dress shoe. Also, the Clark Street comes on Dainite, which makes it a nice shoe for travel, when you are always facing changing environments.

100% do not go up a width...mine in my proper width are big and I alternate between insert or boot socks to wear them

More sleeker boot: Dalton or EC?

Has anybody ever purchased a pair of Allen Edmonds with coins only? I just did a bit of cleaning around my room and gathered $679 in change. With 6% sales tax here in Florida, I'm only $10 off of paying for a new pair of shells. Would that be cruel to do? I'd obviously roll them all up, but I'm not sure if my SA would be in good humour about this.
