Wtf! I just checked the Shoebank and there was an oxblood Dalton in my size! Refreshed one minute later and it was gone! D'oh.

PSA to the Bleecker St. fans . . . the New Orleans AE store has a returned MTO.  Black shell, Dainite sole, size 9.5D.  First $595 takes it home.

Bumped into a Carmina store today in Paris and decided to look around. None of their lasts really fit my wide feet, but it was interesting if only because they had couple display models in light-colored Cordovan including Natural and Whiskey, plus a good number of Ruby-colored cordovan as well.

I'm now totally sold on ordering some Natural Cordovan from AE the next time the opportunity comes around (my wallet presumes this might take a while and is okay with this).

did you take any pictures of the natural and whiskey shell?

Detroit last is pretty wide, give that a shot.

Pretty much never get real life shoe compliments but got two today on my Leeds haha, I guess they are pretty eye catching.

My problem was that their wider lasts were too wide in the heel and too low on the instep. I could possibly swing a boot by sizing up quite a bit... but then, I'd just order AE and avoid the issue.

Their naming for these colors is Saddle and Cognac (I'm pretty sure the Cognac is the same as my AE Walnut shell)

Can somebody please post a picture of merlot next to bobs chili? I'm debating chili or brown Bleecker Streets, but I have the merlot ECs incoming.

Thanks!

I don't think this particular pairing looks especially great. frown.gif

The shoes are definitely way too dressy for those pants.

IMO!!!!!!!!

I don't disagree with you. I feel as though they need some wool pants and a button down collar. I love em. But have a hard time fitting them in. Might be best to sell for another trunk show pair.

Yeah I was thinking a shoe more like the Gridirons or Strandmok would look better with chinos like those.

Sweet, thanks a lot.
Now I've also added Lake shore drive in tan and Rush street in golden brown CXL to my list. Decision, decision, decision.

Hey guys, just got my cordovan Daltons and I'm pretty excited. One of the boots looks slightly chewed up around the brogueing. Is this cause for concern?
