Are those 11e's? If so they just showed up because I bought them during the shell sale but they were a little small. I held onto them until RDA started since I was going to be passing by the port Washington store during that time. Unfortunately no other burg shell macneills available so I got patriots and bleecker streets instead. The macs looked really nice though so good score if they are the same ones

Here's a lousy quick shot I took after discovering them on my front step when I came home from lunch. Please ignore the clashing color choice of socks with the red laces. The socks are coordinated with the outfit I already had on. Red laces were already on, but it came with brown as well. I'm actually thinking about possibly going with some yellow laces instead. Not sure, yet.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Looking good!  Why does AE insist on shipping Long Branches with those red laces?  I felt a LOT better about mine as soon as I swapped the laces out.

I kinda like how the red laces look with the dark brown grain LBs, but not the lighter waxy brown or the CXL.

I think the red laces are spankin' on the waxy brown (mine are more burgundy than brown).

My reds are still in but seem less red than those...my orange laces are still in clark st and red still in spiaggia...being lazy also contributes

Love my red long branch laces.

In other news, I'm gonna go ahead and un-recommend the use of Saphir Renovateur on AE burnished calf and cow shoes. One very light application stripped off the lovely characteristic burnishing on my walnut Rutledges, and just tonight also removed much of the custom heavy burnishing from the toes of my MTO Shaker Heights. Maybe great for shell, but not so much for burnishing...

Maiden voyage of the Navy EC gmto today...12 hours straight without any discomfort....running in the house at Midnight from a late dinner trying to beat the internal clock to the toilet....and squish step in a huge pile of dog shit...in the house.... Navy Eagle Counties forever unclean.

Just wipe them clean and brush 'em. They are infused with so much stuff at Horween it will be awhile for they need conditioning.

And embrace the red laces.😎

These Universities are one fine looking shoe; lucked up on these at Macy's on clearance for $102. They have been on about 5 outings so far, and are very comfortable. The 333 last for these seem to fit me well in 11.5 D just like AE in the 5 last I wear 11.5D..... I think I am going to get a pair of walnut or chili of these too, I like them so much.
Update, as noted in post below, I bought a chili University and a Walnut pair of Park Ave today, both 11.5D at 30% off at Macy's

I actually quite like those, and really wish I could've snagged a pair when they came out!

Speaking of boots, my humble boot collection (excuse the so-so photo quality):

(L-R: Long Branch (brown grain), Dalton, Dalton, Eagle County)

The ECs are a bit long for me (the first 3 pairs are all 9EEE, the ECs are 9.5E).  But I love wearing them all anyway.

Thanks! I don't think AE sold a lot of these. They came late to the AE fall 2013 collection, as a webgem I think, and then was available at $197 immediately. Had mixed feelings about the harrier sole at first but decided that at worst it was a a $197 chili/cayenne LB after Recrafting. Glad I got them. The wedge sole is not everyone's cup of tea but I like how they look when worn with a very casual get up.
