Wow, between mine, Trader George, and JSO's pictures, Bob's chili looks nothing like this picture.  Ours are all much darker and richer-looking than this.  Even the bourbon looks so-so.  Judging by the shadows, I'd guess the bourbon and chili are overexposed a bit and low-contrast.

I also found Kahuna's pic from his store visit last week:

Bought the Rush St's and the blue was much richer than the what I had seen prior..also it seems that Neumok blue is a little more blue than that super dark navy...very nice.

The Rush St's back seems from the heel up were off center by a decent amount but for the sale price it was not a dealbreaker and in 12EEE they look a little football shaped on my foot but I love them.

Hope they release the Oxblood soon as I want a bleeker in it...the SA said the early oxblood samples she saw were great.

Tough choice between that and brown.

LOL cherries and wackos.  If I wasn't already aiming for Chili because of my bourbon Randolphs, this would've been my second choice.  Looks fantastic!

Went for it, darkened a bit uneven but that is to be expected with cordovan I would assume. Some of the uneven look could be attributed to left over acrylic finish not letting the HDLP through. I don't think it will be easy to get a cordovan type shine on them but I am ok with that if they have the HDLP protection. These will serve as a winter shoe that will probably get worn in rain, snow and slush then I will change into other shoes at work.

Pic before and just after application, I do expect them to lighten a bit still after fully drying and getting a few wears with them.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it.  And here I am wearing my shell Cambridges today. angry.gif

I was able to stop in today and talk with Paul. Glad I wore the Dundee's today! I was actually just emailing my SA when I got the same email. He was running a bit late due to ATL traffic and walked over from his hotel which was pretty cool. However it was fun talking shoes with some new SA's I hadn't really conversed with before. But I did thank Paul for the GMTO program and seems he pokes his head in here every so often since he asked what my SN was. However I did inquire about future shell options and there is good news on the horizon!

However Paul was a extremely easy to talk and probably could have for much longer however didn't want to keep him from the others waiting. So thank you again Paul for visiting ATL. Really enjoyed it!

Wish I had worn a better shirt today but oh well.

Thanks for sharing. I'd love to see those when they've dried completely.

The Norwich is pretty similar to the Jomoc except in a monkstrap--thick sole, split reverse welt.  I'll probably end up buying the Jomoc at some point.

Ah, yes. I was just eyeing those. Very nice. Many reviews indicate issues with comfort, but I take it you have none?

So I heard (on here).  And I also know I should ask if they stitched the tweed on straight.

@Kahuna75, did you decide to keep those crooked ones, or did you send them back?

What size did you order and what's your 5-last size?  I'm still on the fence... not sure of my size for the Shaker Heights.

I have them still and the potential to return is there...I have not worn them other than for fit...I keep them out of the box just to decide how annoying it is...or not.

Just received dark burnished brown from Nordstrom in 9.5E, width is great but I feel a little bit of heel slip, should I size down to 9E?

Unfortunately Nordstrom doesn't have that size so I will have to exchange for 9.5D dark chili. 9.5D Feels a tad tight but maybe it will loosen with wear. If not those will have to go back too.

Are the dark brown just backordered? On the Allen Edmonds site it states 2-4 week wait. I can always wait to exchange rather than return.

What do you wear in the rain?

I walk about 1.5 miles to work, I don't mind wearing my JM in the rain, they look crappy but I don't feel a big loss.

I really don't like wearing my AE in the rain, I feel like I'm abusing them.

They look crappy until I hit them with some Renovateur then they look good again, but I'm not sure if it is a  good idea to get my Delray's or others wet over and over.

Thanks,

Sean
