McAllister (Brown)

McAllister (Bourbon)

McAllister (Walnut, polished dark)

Strand (Walnut)

Sixth Avenue (Chestnut)

Neumok (Acorn Hillfire)

Strawfut (Brown / Brown Mesh)

Dalton (Bourbon)

Bleecker Street (Dark Chili)

These look great!  I am wearing and loving Bob's chili right now!

Could you compare the fit of the Bleeker Streets to your Daltons?

I went with a suede variant because it was difficult to pick between bourbon and Bob's chili. :)

Thanks - love this combo already. Interesting how Dark Chili changes so much in the light - yours look great as well!

Thanks! And it's absolutely beautiful! I love the colour of the dark chili on these boots. I had my SA order in a pair of dark chili and a pair of bourbon, and I was going to decide which I wanted when they arrived. I didn't even try the bourbon on, nor were they taken out of their box.

Thanks! I'll be curious to see your suede ones.

As far as the Bleecker vs. Dalton fit, it's hard to tell. I normally wear a 9 D in the 5 last, but my Daltons were a pair of seconds I snagged at the Rack in 8.5 3E (they were basically perfect, hard to tell what made them seconds) and could not refuse, so I put a pair of orthotic inserts in to fill out the inside (and they're still a touch big for me inside, but very slightly so).

These Bleecker actually fit me like a glove at 8.5 D (I tried them at the store before I bought them), whereas other 5-last shoes would never fit my instep at 8.5 D. So I'd suggest going 1/2 size down from your 5-last shoes if you have a fairly high arch/instep like I do.

The Bleecker are exceptionally comfortable. I'm very impressed.

Good choice. I love Bourbon but these just beg for Dark Chili.

If you go the HDLP route, post photos please after it dries.  I may do the same on some older shell Leeds which I'm recrafting as my rain shoes.

Wow - the Sturgis really looks nice.  Your photos of the boot is much more appealing than AE's photos.

All the posts about MTO Shakers have prompted me to repost mine.  For what it's worth, I too was inspired by cap-toed English boots.  These, along with my new Moras in bourbon, are the most versatile shoes I own, as they really do work with everything from jeans to a suit.

Congrats to you both for joining the B.S. club! :rotflmao:

Mine came on Saturday, but I've yet to take them out on a maiden voyage.  I was thinking about wearing them with denim on Friday, and your pictures have convinced me that's a good idea.  George, I wish I'd have those socks, though!  Where did you get them?

Thanks very much. I wore some dark wash jeans to the AE store when I tried them on - it sold me on the Dark Chili. I will almost always wear these with jeans.

Can anyone who owns both shoes in the 5 last and the 2 last comment on their differences and similarities in fit? Specifically, I would like to know about heel fit (snugness/looseness) and width in the front/ball of the foot.

So I heard (on here).  And I also know I should ask if they stitched the tweed on straight.

@Kahuna75, did you decide to keep those crooked ones, or did you send them back?

What size did you order and what's your 5-last size?  I'm still on the fence... not sure of my size for the Shaker Heights.

Why thank you! I believe I will take mine on a nice little voyage tomorrow. The pics were just me wearing them around the house to post on here. And they do go great with denim! Regarding the socks, I actually got them from AE as well (I love AE socks). Here you go, they're the light blue ones:

Someone needs to post pics of the Bleecker street in all colors. I wonder how it looks compared to the chili of the Lasalle which I own and love but bourbon is always on my mind

I wear a 10.5 in Nike's. When I wore crappy J&M shoes I was sized in a 9D so I assumed I would be the same in AE shoes. I will give both a 10A and 9.5B a try. I was just confused because the lace gap is quite large on the 9D and my pinky toe is uncomfortable. Will the width be significantly larger on a 10A/9.5B?
