Black Park Aves

Non-AEs: Kent Wang Brown Suede Chukkas, Alden Brown CXL PTB

Any recommendations? Currently thinking about the Rush Streets but looking around for other options still.

Take a look at the Daltons. They are simply awesome!

Speaking of Daltons, and maybe this will help chrispy650 since we have pretty similar collections:  I'm trying to add a Dalton boot and struggling to decide between Bourbon and Chocolate.  Most prior discussions focused on Walnut vs. Chocolate, and I've eliminated Walnut.

Most might say I should go with the Chocolate Dalton since I already have a bourbon wingtip (McAllister).  But, I also have a brown Strand, similar color and amount of brouguing.  And, the McAllister will be worn for work 90% of its use, whereas I plan on wearing the Dalton at work only maybe 20% and the rest of its use will be casual, so there wont be a whole lot of overlap in terms of who else sees them.

Bourbon is real striking and makes it a bit more casual/rugged looking, which I like, but again, it is a unique color and I already have one.  And work isn't a lot of suits but is dressier business casual (coats, wool pants--I'm an attorney), making Chocolate better for that possibly.  Any thoughts?

Also, this does not affect my decision but I thought some of you might be interested:

On Keegan Bradley--Possibly a Dalton or special AE for Ralph Lauren make up for the US Ryder Cup team at today's opening ceremonies.  Saw the broadcast earlier and grabbed this pic online.  RL is doing their playing uniforms, so i wouldn't surprise me if they enlisted AE to make the opening ceremony footwear.

Cognac and Natural Tan, both are great. J

Just noticed you had both haha. The cognac's look a lot more redder in your picture than on the site and the tans seem more golden brown but I guess it could both be due to lighting. If I had to go with one I would probably say the cognac would go best with both navy and khaki, you think?

Hmmm I never really though of the Daltons til now. I don't have a pair of dress boots but I definitely could see myself wearing that with both my chinos and dress pants. That chocolate looks like a winner for me. Decisions decisions...

I too have the cognac McT's. In this picture, they look very red, with tan khakis.

And here with dark khakis and lighter laces...

My SA is willing to honor the sale price, so I'm wondering if these are a good pickup.

I've seen reviews that the Daltons run both long and narrow. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

iirc, there was some shell that was added to the inventory count around the end of the shell sale, and much of it was in the D width. so it may be the case that the 11.5D's were taken, were not returned, and these are distinct from the ones you saw disappear. just an fyi in case you don't hear from anyone that did return them.

Picked up one of AE's new loafers, the Ascher in bourbon:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I love the look of this loafer, it's the same last as the Patriot, but the finer (more almond shape) apron gives them a more refined look IMO. The stitched apron seems to be a new AE technique. The stitching is closer than their other penny loafers, and they have a fine line running in-between the stitches. Very nice, and it looks like i can get this model in oxblood as well...

Looks really well done! Maybe they'll eventually release it in Snuff

Thanks for the pictures. Gives me a nice representation of the color.

Anyone have pics of the Dalton in Chocolate in action :)

For the McT, the Cognac would be more versatile, IMO. J

I would have joined in yesterday, but ios8 broke my ability to post pics. Looks like the update fixed it. Wore my black Jeffs to a watch-related event last night.

Edit: please ignore messy floor. Was also in process of cleaning house...
