Just thought I'd bump this, since folks are getting in on the GMTO and recent shell sale: JAB trees are currently 3 for $25 with free shipping.

In spite of the black welt, I may be in for the new CXL Long Branch.  We're trying to get an AE brown shell boot GMTO off the ground (if interested, pm@Kahuna75).  If that fails to launch, I may even MTO the Long Branch.

It's a real boot: http://www.corsinelli.com/product/grenson-fred-commando-brown-boot/

I can't believe I just took advantage of this sale when they ran it a few weeks ago and I already need to buy more. :censored:

Thanks!!  Just picked up 3 more.  Like the free shipping!  Keeps me from having to order $75 worth.

Are these any good? I normally get the Nordies Rack ones for $12 each.

As far as I can tell, these are identical to the ones AE sells.  Only difference is the brass tag.

Thanks.  Pretty cool.  Fortunately, out of stock in my size.  One could potentially MTO a Long Branch during the sale for a bit less $.

What size are your Dalton shells?  Still for sell?

Yup. They're all rebranded Woodlore, which is owned by Allen Edmonds.

I Purchased 6 JAB Trees 2 weeks ago, and now I find myself purchasing another 3.  I forgot how many shoes I have acquired lately.  This will also allow me to insert some trees into a few more casual shoes.  The free shipping is what tipped me over, as it saves me from having to drive clear across town to the store.

Where do you guys purchase Boot Trees?  I have a few boot trees that are beveled with a higher looking instep to account for the rise up the vamp and tongue.  I can't these same ones I currently have, and I do need a few more for other boots in rotation.

I ended up with two pairs of burgundy shell Daltons (seconds) to determine the best size for me.  I returned a perfect pair in 11-1/2 D.  UPS tracking tells me they arrived at their destination yesterday, but they are not listed in the latest inventory.  They'll be in the system very soon.  Anyone interested in the shell Dalton and that fits in 11-1/2 D should contact Jill Bullins or Terri at the Jeffersonville outlet.  At $325, these are an absolute steal!  Good Luck!

@JBBB- Not sure if that is addressed to me.  If so, the shell Daltons I posted about (11-1/2 D) were returned to AE.  I just wanted everyone to know they were available.  During the shell sale which ended yesterday, they were $325.  If they're still available today, they are considerably more - maybe $549.  Btw, welcome to SF.

Ironically, I wish this sale was in stores as I live next to one... instead, JAB has to foot shipping costs. Weird.  I might stop in and ask, just in case.

What shoes do you use these with? I purchased a pair of boot trees a while back, but I've found that the regular trees work better.

I normally don't cotton to cotton trousers with dress oxfords, but I have been contemplating selling my brown shell Strands recently, as I don't wear them as much anymore (I lost my previous university job, and have picked up two more with decidedly casual workplace dress codes), and wanted one last wear just make certain. But hoofing around in them today, gazing at the lovely developing patina has me wondering what I could have been thinking.

PS, the right one has been a little spewy today. It's been 4 months since I last wore them. Wish I brought a polishing cloth.
