Been debating about the brown shell Norwich, thanks to whoever picked them up in my size, you just save me 325.

I don't know who are getting the hookups from AE and selling them at that price.
AE sale happens almost every month. Depending on what you are looking for, if you're patient, you'd get them at that price, sometimes first quality as well.

I think the black grain looks boss.

Tho quite similar to Sturgis.

Damn, why couldn't they have out a lighter welt on those golden brown CXL. Chili, brown or natural would have been nice.

Why doesn't AE offer a cap toe boot in varying shades of shell cordovan (black, brown & burgundy) with a "commando" type sole in their regular line up? It appears that Alden's similar boot has a big demand - sought after and hard to find. Not sure why AE wouldn't capitalize on that market. Especially since they now seem to manufacture their shell shoes upon order. Not a whole lot of inventory concerns.

They're squirrelly when it comes to shell colors in general.  Why is it that they offer only three styles in all three shell colors?  Why do they offer the Dalton and the Bradley only in burgundy, and the Strand and the Norwich only in brown?

It's like they have learned nothing from the MTO thread

Baby steps then ... start with burgundy, or to be different than A, start with brown. Even less of an inventory concern. We're armchair CEO's, aren't we!?!?

Seriously, a lighter welt would look so much better.

I ended up with two pairs of burgundy shell Daltons (seconds) to determine the best size for me.  I returned a perfect pair in 11-1/2 D.  UPS tracking tells me they arrived at their destination yesterday, but they are not listed in the latest inventory.  They'll be in the system very soon.  Anyone interested in the shell Dalton and that fits in 11-1/2 D should contact Jill Bullins or Terri at the Jeffersonville outlet.  At $325, these are an absolute steal!  Good Luck!

Ugh, why couldn't you have gotten a 12D. Would snap it up.

What's everyone's opinion of Park Aves in Walnut Grain? Seems like an odd combination. I've also never seen walnut grain in person. Would I be able to wax the toe cap to a near-mirror finish?

That would be a strictly casual shoe, mirror-toe or not

Actually, I kept a 12 E. 12D might have worked even better.
