New inventory spreadsheet for 9/13/14 (cordovan only): http://1drv.ms/1uAARe1

I still need to figure out some automation for this :-/

Thanks for this-- is this only the new stuff that was added today? I see more on the site than is listed in this sheet and just want to be sure I understand what I'm looking at.

Any thoughts on black cordovan Leeds?

How useful do people think they would be?  Too casual for suits, but good for denim?  (Or, do people find them sleek enough to for suits?)  How about in-between?

And, too fragile for rain or not?

And finally, sizing compared to strands/PAs/etc. on the 5-last?  (I'm right in the middle of the pack, size-wise.  10D, nothing unusual.)

EDIT:  Looks like the black leeds I had my eye on are not actually seconds, so not on sale.  That makes the decision easier.

Took the dive and just purchased my very first pairs of shell cordovans, the burgundy Dundees and the burgundy Cambridges.

The outlet representatives were very accommodating. YMMV when I asked if there were discounts for bundled shoe trees, he mentioned that there was the Rediscover America Sale coming up then proceeded to apply that discount to the trees at $16.99 each.

Now the hard part, waiting for the shoes to arrive...

Nothing fragile about shell! One of its best applications is in heavy duty boots!

If you think this is hard, wait until you get on an MTO that requires 3+ months of production time.

Congrats on your shell purchases. Shell second purchases are usually the impetus to $700+ dollar shell purchases in the not-so-remote future: exotics, MTOS, other shell makers etc...

By the way, those are great choices. One can be dressed up or down, while the other is great for the winter/fall.

Good Luck!

What are your thoughts on the Norwich in brown shell? I haven't seen one in person. It looks like it will either be very versatile or a mess that doesn't look right with anything. I'd most wear casually or with an odd jacket.

A couple times I bought seconds from a member here for $200. Park & Strand. How did they sell them at that price? Does anyone else still sell 'em?

Hey, I just figured the spreadsheet out.  The spreadsheet includes over 400 pair, it's just that some are hidden.  Be sure to download it and then you can more easily control what is being displayed.   Go to the top of each column and select the arrow.  Then you can choose what you want to display.  When you open it, it's showing only a few "names".  Once you figure it out, you can modify to display only your preferences.  Good Luck!

Edit:  Btw, this spreadsheet just cost me another $325 plus tax!

PSA of very limited scope:

I ended up with two pairs of burgundy shell Daltons (seconds) to determine the best size for me.  I returned a perfect pair in 11-1/2 D.  UPS tracking tells me they arrived at their destination yesterday, but they are not listed in the latest inventory.  They'll be in the system very soon.  Anyone interested in the shell Dalton and that fits in 11-1/2 D should contact Jill Bullins or Terri at the Jeffersonville outlet.  At $325, these are an absolute steal!  Good Luck!

I want both of those pairs.  I have neither.  I have the Dundee in brown and the cambridge in black.

It fit me very tight.  Besides that, good looking shoe.  I've actually tried it on in black and brown shell.  The black shell was shipped to me by mistake.

In honor of this shell sale, I dug out an old pic of my shells.  I'm up to 18 pairs by now, all AE....

A pair just showed up in 11D. They might have been put into the inventory incorrectly?

EDIT: I'm glad the spreadsheet worked out for you!

Does anyone else notice their collection fluctuating a lot?  I found a picture of my shoes from a couple of years back and noticed that I don't even have 16 pairs of these anymore:

Yes, thanks for the spreadsheet!  Pretty cool for searching specifics. Your spreadsheet cost me $325 plus tax!

As far as the Daltons, possibly entered wrong, but I haven't received my credit email from AE yet.  My guess is that they're still in a stack of returns.  But they should be available soon!
