No duty just taxes since made in america. I get taxed on 50% of my shipment, and its 5% tax.
I picked up this pair of Allen Edmonds at a thrift store. The sole of one is marked "Factory Reject." The leather has a texture to it, almost like a fish scale or cross-hatch. The valleys of the texture are considerably darker than the surrounding area. Is this part of the design, or are the shoes just dirty? Should I try to clean them with saddle soap, or polish them and leave them as is? Obviously, there is a nasty gouge across the vamp of the left one. Too bad.
Thanks in advance for the help. I know very little about shoes, but I am trying to learn.
As for the Amok sizing:
9D in 5 last fits bigger than 9D in the Amok (I forget the last).
The amok's last is more narrow than the 5 last.
As for the the quality:
For the most part, AE makes fantastic shoes, but the Amok is not one of them. I purchased first quality Amoks for $100 six months ago, but had to ultimately return them due to quaity issues. I guess for $69, there's not much to lose, but I wouldn't expect from a quality perspective.
I have the Amok in Snuff and haven't had any problems with them and I've had them about a year. I ordered the tan suede one about an hour ago, $69 shipped.
Indeed. "#8 shell or mink suede loafers. Dark enough for a blazer, grays and a white shirt but also colorful enough for day; better than lace-ups for most no-tie outfits." http://www.styleforum.net/t/338954/streamlined-shoe-wardrobe
I have neither but my McGraws in truffle shell are a great substitute. Super versatile.
What are the navy shoes in the 2nd row, 1st column?
