I would ask to see if they would let you swap out with another closeout shoes instead of returning.

Looks like the labor day pricing is live on shoebank site. Shells are $425

Allen Edmonds has lowered their prices on some of their clearance items even further.

I ordered a pair of Kenilworths for $197.  I had just purchased a pair for more earlier this month.

You have to click on the item to see the lowered price.

But it is interesting that they will "handcraft it for me in 8 weeks".  Why do they have clearance sale on items that have not been made?

And when I emailed them about customizing the sole they said they can't do any customization  on a clearance item.

I imagine that they borrowed the description and text from the main website.

These are already made, I am sure.

Here is my collection. I know it's nothing compared to some of you guys but my first shoe was the Kenilworth which I think I've been wearing for about 3 years now. Pics were snapped at work very quick

I need to add a casual pair in there, either the neumok or the Mctavish.

In order from left to right

Kenilworth in burnished brown, Lasalle in Chili, Strands in walnut and fifth avenue in black (brooks brother version)

Gives me good reason to hang onto mine. Just haven't been sure about them recently.

And since you mention it.

Happy Wednesday!

Nothing to be bashful about.

They look great.

You are doing a nice job maintaining them.

Dead on 15%. There was a Dalton in my size earlier this week, but disappeared shortly after. Still miss the days of $299 shell.

Great collection.

It's easy to get caught up and acquire everything under the sun, especially with the seemingly perpetual sales.  Although I'm a bit guilty of that as well (hard to resist when everybody is posting great pictures on this thread!), I think it's optimal to have just 3-5 pairs and rotate the heck out of them. Shoes tend to look better when it's worn-in, giving them a bit of personality.

I agree. This entire thread is a bunch of enablers!

I need to add one or two pairs for casual wear to complete it, but that's what I said when I had two pairs nod[1].gif

Hopefully AE adds another suede option to their lineup

New fall additions to the web site:

Two eyelet blucher. Curious to see how a naturally sleek shoe design works on the clunky 7 last. Also....brown edge trim on a black dress shoe??

Rough blucher boot. I like it, except for the logo on the side. frown.gif

Interesting Venetian/split toe loafer

Yet another penny loafer variation.

My jam, the Shaker Heights, but in a different color. My older pair In chili is a favorite I can't wait to break out.

BK, I bought a pair of Amoks about a year ago on the clearance page and they actually had to make them for me. They may have over sold the shoes though or something odd.

Thanks for the sale heads up!  I read your message and looked at the shoebank.com site, seconds pricing has also been reduced overnight there.

AE has leftover components of shoes which are specifically associated with the clearance models.  Rather than discard those components, they offer clearance prices to build the shoes and move the remaining materials.

Does anyone know any other details about the shortwing blucher they are supposedly releasing this year?
