Miles above the original design, well done!

AE should put that exact shoe, minus the pinking, into production ASAP. Paul I hope you are seeing this beauty of a shoe.

+1!!!!!

Given the Paul's posting on why they shut down the MTO special I get that it's not a real option, but after seeing some of the creations from MTO thread I have wondered if we would be seeing any of those models make into a formal offerings, even if its a web gem special. I know there are a couple that I would buy and like many on here i don't "need" any more shoes. Heck make a contest for submissions and the 2 or 3 options that are chosen could be featured one month to show the commitment the customers and company have to one another.

Thanks gents. I'm very pleased. Almost sorry that I won't need to wear them for another 2 weeks.

I didn't have a dark brown calf shoe, so these fit that bill nicely. The only downside is that my resolve to buy those warehoused truffle McAllisters has now weakened, as they are a bit redundant in my rotation. wink.gif

MTO's are still available, you just have to pay the fee.

Not an expert in this, but I'm pretty certain Peppercorn's version would have sold a lot more pairs than the original, by a mile, speaking conservatively.

Great pickup for the webgem price.

Sorry, don't want to scare or mislead anyone. I was trying to differentiate between the MTO normal process with a fee, and the "SF MTO special" but didn't do a very good job in stating it clearly. Thanks.

Now for the real reason I wanted to wear my Truffle McAllisters today...

I was expecting a shipment of Ravello LWB and suspected the color was going to be very close. I know a lot of people mentioned AE walnut shell being close to Ravello but it's got nothing on this. It's now going to be very hard to justify keeping both, and the blucher works much better for my wardrobe.

Haha I totally agree, I could see myself grabbing the LWB more often though. Today was only my third wearing of the McAllisters and I picked them up in May. We'll see, the McAllister is very nice and the 5 last works great for me.

That's OK. I wear my shell Cambridge once or twice a year.
