I just tried on my first pair of AE (Strands) and the 9.5 fit perfect. Can I expect the Clifton and Sanford to fit the same?

I was told I should leave a little wiggle room in the heel portion. But I'm afraid this is too much? I bought an 8D. My strands in 8D fit much nicer... while the PA's have more of a "give".




- its the sides that are more loose than the back.

what say AE pros?

You may wear the same size, but it depends on the person. However, even if you wear the same size, the "fit" will be different due to the different lasts. In other words, they may be snugger or more roomy in different areas and in different ways. Sometimes this leads to a different size need, but not always.

Alright, are there ways to get rid of the wrinkles?

There are ways to substantially lessen what appears to be creases and wrinkles. I was able to do this on some of my 1999 versions of the AE Sanfords - and they are starting to breath life.

I remember that conversation. I didn't take Englade's response to mean that anyone has a personal vendetta against you. I simply took it as a facetious remark to indicate disagreement with your fears of a conspiracy against you. But you're right, it is what it is, and I really don't know.

I just got my walnut Players from the Nordstrom sale and it looks like they've changed the sole - it's looks like a typical allen edmonds single sole in color and thickness - nothing like my Dalton sole.

I actually prefer the single, but anyone else notice this?

I'm looking for a PA in size 8 or 8.5 (not sure of my size, need to figure it out). Should I try to get a second by calling during the AE tent sale or wait for the Nordstrom Anniversary sale? Which one would be cheaper? Thanks!
