Ah that would explain it. I'm not sure what it says about us that we can identify the previous owner of a pair of shoes.

My walnut shell Daltons are unlined as well.

Interesting. Fwiw, the shell cordovan Wolverines made by AE are all unlined.

What color of Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier cream polish do you guys use with AE's brown burnished finish (Mora 2.0)?

I'm about to place an order for some Saphir stuff, and Kirby's guide here says either Mahogany, Bordeaux, or Tobacco. I can't find tobacco color in stock at Kirby's or at A Suitable Wardrobe, which is unfortunate because it looks like the most versatile. Bordeaux looks too purple. Mahogany?

Here are the AE finishes I need cream polishes for: brown burnished Mora 2.0 (??? polish), black (black polish), bourbon (medium brown polish), walnut (light brown polish), chili (cognac polish).

I would use AE's stuff, but I recently found out that using their cleaner/conditioner and polish was causing an allergic reaction on my skin, presumably because of all the chemicals. As such, I'm going the Saphir all-natural route at the expense of my wallet...

Thanks in advance.

Brown Cordovan Strands out for their second wearing, most excess polish removed. Let the creasing begin!

So, next quiz. I thought I recognized them but then saw the blue lining.

Who wants to claim these?

I'm hoping the sole was a natural edge and he just decided to do a brown. Either way....

Has anyone here had the chrome plating on their brass buckles yellow? I have a black cordovan Alden belt, and it was not until I recently got a brown AE belt that I realized the chrome on the AE belt is really bright while the chrome on the Alden buckle is of a distinctly yellower tinge. The Alden belt is about 5 years old, but I dont know if it was always like this or faded?

Can't wait to unbox my Walnut Shell Daltons this evening, also unlined. Guess I need to put them in a case on the mantel.

Gonna be a good day.

Wore tan Allen-Edmonds Desert Mountain "golf" shoes today. I replaced the wide flat orange laces with round tan laces.

They're not only "golf" shoes, but can also be worn when walking around.

The quiz is over. Those are mine actually. AE messed with the specs (sole edge and welt color) and since that was my first MTO I did not have the nerve to insist on them being redone. I have not worn them since I got them last year so I thought I'd just let them go to the loving and caring hands.

Guilty of one of my own pet peeves: walnut with navy cotton suit. Was too hot for my burgundy shell parks, and these Rutledges are super light and breezy.

I love walnut and navy!

Ah ha, I figured it had to be someone here. So it wasn't ordered like that. Makes sense. However it wouldn't be to much work for them to redo the welt and sole to what it should be. There's quite a transition in there though. However if they were my size I'd still be interested.
