If anyone is considering them, I'd suggest going to a store now and getting them for this unbeatable price.

I think the brown grained are discontinued at least that is what one of the reviews on the AE site say. You bought them in store?

Yes, they do appear to be discontinued since I cant find them on the AE website.  I bought them in the Washington, DC store.

When I finally hooked up with Neumok Red and brought her home a few weeks ago, I thought I'd found the shoe of my dreams as she proved herself to be a head turner

Then late this afternoon, Ridgeway showed up at my door looking like hot sexxx. I knew I'd found the new woman in my life(at least for the next few months.)

After finally dragging home Neumok Red and ditching Gucci, I thought I'd found the shoe of my dreams as she proved herself to be quite the head turner....

Then a knock on my door this afternoon and Ridgeway arrived dressed to kill and looking beyond sexy. I knew I'd found the shoe of my dreams --- at Least for the next few months...

I'm assuming that the Kenwoods are not goodyear welted (maybe I am wrong) because it doesn't explicitly say it, but can someone explain their construction?

Maybe goodyear welting is part of the the 212 steps of Craftmanship?

My guess would be goodyear welted since they are recraftable and are not part of the AE line.

According to my shitty sales associate at the store today the Kenwoods are goodyear welted and recraftable.

How long should I wait for AE's customer service to respond if I forwarded them an email with an issue with my shoes?

Scroll down to overview and read: Handsewn construction on the Handsewn 800 last... and yes, they are recraftable. AE has many handsewn models that are recraftable.

You are right.  I either misunderstood the salesman or he didn't know (just like he didn't know that AE made the kenwood in brown baldy[1].gif )

I just got my Macneil Cordovan seconds this past weekend. I remember seeing someone post here before about an uneven heel and could not find the original.

Is it normal to have this large of a gap in the heel?

Wear after half a day :

I have another pair of macneil that does have a slight uneven-ness to them but not to this extent. But that heel is made of rubber.

Thoughts?
