For anyone who wears 7.5 EEE I saw this truffle/cappuccino McGraw on the Shoe Bank website. Not my style and size but I understand it's a rare color so thought I'd post it here.

I have these as well and they are one of my favorites. I love the saddle brown color. Glad to see I'm not the only one who gets the creases in the toe on these. Enjoy...

Nice find. I wear an 8D in the Kenwood, wonder if I could squeeze into those. I suspect the EEE will be much too wide, love the Truffle color.

If you're not already one, you need to be a Nordstrom Rewards cardmember to get access to the "Early Access pre-sale" July 10-17.  For me, after I log into Nordstrom.com and search for "Allen Edmonds Strand", the sale walnut Strand appears.

FWIW, there's a manager at my local AE store who is great so I like to give him my business when I can. Last year during this sale he matched Nordstrom's price on a shoe I was interested in so I bought it through him.

Yeah, I know these are fugly, but in this case I'm willing to sacrifice looks for comfort. And damn, are they comfortable! Also I got them for 174$.

With all due respect, BigRob, the laces on my left shoe are askew in the pic because they are being drug down a bit by my right shoe.

I seem to get them on every 8-last shoe, but it's also one of the most comfortable lasts for me and probably my favorite aesthetically

Can you see if there is a blue neumok option? I've been considering that one.

Also unrelated. Can you see if there are any Filson duffle bags on sale?

Thanks!

Yup - the blue leather neumok is on sale for $182.90.

None of the Filson duffels are on sale.

For my first nice pair of shoes, I grabbed a pair of #8 shell Leeds from the recent Shoebank sale...then got down to business of refinishing them.

Fresh out of the box:

Free Strip Show!!  After Saphir Reno'Mat (renomat) to remove the finish and AE added polish down to the bare shell:

After Saphir Renovateur:

After a brief Mac Method polish with a touch of Saphir Walnut wax:

After Angelus No. 600 Acrylic

This is my first attempt at anything like this, and I'm pretty happy with the result.  They colors in the shell are awesome, especially in sunlight!  Many thanks for all the great info from this forum.

I'm going to do the same process with a brown shell Jefferson that I picked up at the same time (you shell fans are a bad influence...).  More pics to come.

Welcome! We're glad you came, and very well done. Sorry about your bank account; at least the warm glow of tanned horse is far more hypnotic than stacks of Benjamins.

I can't wait to see some long term testing on the DIY acrylic jobs.
