Is this considered square-toed?

Ok, these swatches are a little tricky, because they are all very very close in color. From top to bottom we have dark chocolate calf (darkest), dark brown Indy, and dark brown burnished calf (lightest by a fraction of a hair.)

These samples really are minutely different from each other. The main difference between the Indy dark brown and the standard calf dark brown is in the texture. The Indy leather is softer, thinner, and with a finer grain. PM me your addy if you'd like me to mail them to you!

FWIW allison is very accommodating when it comes to sending samples.

Thanks!

It looks like the two browns are very similar. Do you happen to have other colors such as walnut as well?

Here's the best I can do in my lighting situation.

Brown shell, walnut burnished, chili burnished, with the dark brown samples underneath.

Limited natural light only:

How about "throw back Friday"? These are my AE Ellsworths from the old AE Corporate Casuals collection. I purchased these around 1995. They have been recrafted once.

Pebble grain is super stiff and it's rubbing against my ankles creating scratches. What's the best way to alleviate the problem?

Am I imagining things or is AE eliminating the Independence collection?  All but two models are now in the clearance section.  Or perhaps they're planning to introduce a bunch of new ones?

I'm surprised people aren't snatching them up at that price. Its a steal.

I wonder what the sales data look like for these models. With the exception of the Rutledge, all of the Indy models look similar to shoes in the regular line. Perhaps not enough customers are opting for the "upgraded" models, and AE is planning on introducing Indy line shoes that are designed differently from their other, less expensive offerings

Do you guys take the same size in the 2 last and the 5 last?

When I was talking with my Outlet SA a few weeks ago about a walnut Rutledge he said they were planning on redoing the independence line. He just wasn't sure when. Seems like its starting to take shape.

Just hope it transfers over to 2nds as well. For the walnut Rutledge the 1st and 2nd are basically the same price. Though it seems the black Harrison is now cheaper. It was significantly higher than the brown. Probably because of the formality making it more popular. My SA said they can sell the crap of the walnut Rutledge at the 330 price, vs when the brown was 229 and he would sell it at 125 since it was a closeout. Why I didn't get them I still don't know.

Whoops, never mind, Walnut Rutledge 1st is still at 495. Got my hopes up.
