I'll share what I just said in PM that differences in color on the same shoe is part of the overall beauty of shell.  I have shell that does this and really like it.  If it bothers you, you can add Saphir cordovan creme in the appropriate color to even the color out.  I did this on one pair of #8 shell shoes due to finishing issues that necessitated it.  That pair of shoes is now very uniform in color.

I've never done this, but I assume you could wrap your shoe in something and cut a hole in the spot you want exposed to sunlight? Maybe this is going overboard...

I recommend Saphir over AE's cream. Get Renovateur to do a deep cleaning every 6 months (at most) and put on Saphir Cordovan Cream every 3 months (at most) to moisturize. In case it is not obvious, put on the Cream after Reno, because Reno cleans the shell but dries it out, the cream will re moisturize the shoes.

Just brush (Mac Method) every wearing between cleanings.

If you get a deep scuff deer bone (if you have one) and fill with paste wax (I like Alden's paste wax).

Yeah, I use Neutral so that I don't have to pay for all the colors AND neutral for my lighter shells. If he only has Burgundy and doesn't have any others on the horizon, then I would go Burgundy/Color 8 Saphir Cream.

I also really like the neutral as I can then use my finger to apply it and it won't be all covered in Burgundy pigment after! I like using my finger as it helps me to control (and reduce) the amount of product that I apply.

I thought Saphire Renovator was a cleaner and conditioner while Reno -Mat was the harsh one that dried the shoes. So Saphire Cream is suggested also? Ok will need to order some too then.

I like neutral because it preserves the natural color of the shell.

RenoMat is like an industrial strength cleaner and Reno is like a use at home cleaner. :-)

Only suggest RenoMat for the most extreme cases.

Yes, that is definitely a plus as well.

So I acquired a pair of bourbon Mora 2.0s in the recent shoe bank sale. I recall an issue being addressed previously but couldnt find how to remedy it.

They squeak pretty bad, I believe because the leather from the straps and the shoe underneath are rubbing together. Anyone able to fix it? Im assuming it will go away with wear but I can't wear them out with the amount of noise they make.

Burgundy shell and white denim today . . . one of my favorite combinations:

Am I the only one that would like to see half n half start posting full fit pictures?  When I see some of the pant, sock, shoe combinations pictured, I'm always wondering what he's wearing on his upper half as well.

Had mine on yesterday and it was like I had an orchestra playing then as the day wore on the heel got a little loose and that was making some whoopi cushion sounds...lol  - Once I tightened the straps up another notch the heel noise went away. Normally I use AE leather lotion before wearing any shoes and did not do that to the Mora 2.0 - will try that tonight and see if that helps.
