Yes, technically they're different patterns, but essentially both highly brogued brown shell balmorals that I would use interchangeably in my own rotation. But if you have the means...why not?

By all means...I am all for excess and owning as many shoes as possible... I think I will be ok with the Jefferson in walnut over the Strand Walnut given the sale price of the Jefferson second...of course assuming the fit is good.

Anyone who bought the University wingtips have any thoughts on it? And how does fit on the 3 (333) Last compared to the 5 Last? I wear 8.5E on the 5 Last.

Got the Webgem Bourbon Universities last week (check a few pages back for pictures if you want) and worn them once this week .  They are very comfortable with the Danite sole and poron insole, I didnt need to break them in at all.  I like the slick chisel toes and think that they are very versatile.  They come with the thinker lace, very similar to the Rutledge (which is the same last).

The 3 last is wider for me.  I went with the same size and smaller width (B).

I must admit it seems like a shame that I've put in so much towards my shoes and still have an average sock wardrobe. I've been considering Soxy Socks recently to be more creative.

Who has the Kenwood? It's on the 800 last and I would think it would fit fairly large....how does it compare to say, the 5 last?

I picked up a pair of size 11 D Kenwood loafers a few weeks ago. I am normally a size 11.5 D in Strands, but had to downsize for the Kenwood. I had to do the same for the pair of Waldens I recently purchased as well.

Great shoe, comfortable out of the box and breaking in nicely.

Ok what is up with the toe of delray?

I got 1 pair in 9.5E 1 pair in 9.5D and put them side to side the length of split toe is so different!

Also a question about fit. With 9.5D I can feel pressure on top of my feet and around pinky toe area at rest. With 9.5E i feel fairly even pressure every where also have wiggle room for all toes. That means the 9.5E is probably better fit for me right? I do however get some heel slippage with 9.5E. It is not like my foot is coming out or anything but I have to tie the lace down harder and it doesnt feel as "secure"

Ill just come on out with it...ever since i found out that the Franciscan wont be on sale during the anniversary sale the rest of the selection just seems EXTREMELY underwhelming to me, save for maybe the Boca Raton or the Mora, which I already have...I dont know, but it just seems like its more of a clearance sale than any kind of celebratory anniversary sale...seems like a bunch of styles that are either seasonal, quirky or in low demand...oh well, maybe theyll surprise me with something enticing tomorrow, who knows

Brown calf singletons I just got. These are 2nds and I can't find any major flaws.  If anything, there is some wrinkling where they stitched the heel.  Doesn't bother me since it's so out of sight. I needed some summer loafers :nodding:

Odd request, but does anyone have an old pair of AE's in 8.5E on the 5 last they could donate to me?

I don't care if the uppers are destroyed. Basically I'm somewhat between sizes - a 9D and 8.5E.

The 9D feels a little long on me, but the 8.5E is a little tight at the front of my big toe, and might be too short. In the store it's not too awful, but I'm concerned that an 8.5E might kill my foot over extended periods of time.

I was hoping to find a cheap/free pair of 8.5E's to wear for a week or 2 and see how they manage. I don't care about looks/tears/scuffs/etc at all, as long as they are the right size.

Doesn't 8.5E actually have more room in the toe box than 9D?

Horizontally, yes, but long-ways, the tip of my big toe is sort of brushing up against the end of the shoe.

Does anyone have real-life photos of the Lexingtons?

Just received confirmation that the Amok's I ordered on 02/20 have shipped. Looking forward to seeing these and comparing them to the Alden unlined chukkas. These were a killer price at ~$100!
