Well, the bowing is significant. The shoes are in immaculate condition still, but not sure if this is considered a defect or just poor fit. In any case, 99% of the people I encounter wouldn't notice the bowing anyways so I'll just keep them.

Is this the product you're talking about? I have it in black and a light brown color.. I find that when the edge dressing dries, it flakes off in little latex-y pieces.

Anyhow, on a different note, does anyone know if the AE Outlets ever sell shell Dundees? I don't mind picking up a pair of seconds as I plan on beating them to death anyways.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that is was 73 here yesterday. For the next 10 days the forecast is in the mid-70's as the high. What's snow???

This isn't exactly true. At least not yet. I received a list of 2nds available in my size and there was at 35 pair of shell shoes in my size. Several models had 5-10 pair of seconds available (i.e. Black Shell Park Avenues had 9 pairs available as seconds).

They can still screw up MTO I guess. I just purchased a pair of shell Bradley seconds from the Jeffersonville outlet for 379 - 20% (don't remember the exact price). They arrive today.

Can anyone tell me who we are supposed to contact in regards to getting the custom order shoes without the custom upcharge as per Mr. Grangaard's post earlier in this thread? Tried searching but wasn't able to come across the post without really digging. Thanks!

I can tell you for certain that contacting Mr. Grangaard directly through his account here doesnt work...I reached out to him a few days ago regarding a rather complex exchange for the MTO offer he made here, and I havent heard back from him yet. I understand that he is a busy CEO so I suspect my original order will just be shipped out before the MTO request is able to be addressed or fulfilled.. Ill maybe try to take the exchange up with my local Allen Edmonds retailer.

I'd agree with RogerP. Mr. G flat-out requests in his posts to be emailed; I'm inclined to doubt he checks his PMs on any sort of a regular basis.

FWIW I took about a five days to hear back. However once I did the customer service has been wonderful. Really it sets the standard. AE swat is awesome.
