Are those firsts? I just ordered a 2nds pair of those and I hope the coloring looks like yours. What attracted me to these boots is the deep chocolate look to them.

Mine were firsts.

The 744 was released in October 2012, I think.

I got mine in February of last year, if I recall.

I've been beating on them ever since.

You will enjoy them.

They are seriously comfortable.

Dark Brown Cordovan Dundee seconds arrived today, very happy with them and could only find a rough/sharp feeling patch on piping as an issue. Could be a comfort problem at first but I suspect it sill soften up with some Reno applied and with wear. Other than that they seem to be without defect.

Speaking of AE Sevens, wearing my Vinci's today:

Still impressed with the quality of the leather (even with the leather flaw on the right shoe). Better quality than the Independence Line in my opinion, should have picked up a pair in black when i had the chance...

It never was an issue. They just called the factory, got it approved and 6 weeks later I'm wearing them. I have the black Hanover in Calf and like them so much I decided to go with the shell. 8th AE and very pleased!

Terrific shoes and a nice shine. I get a bad case of the shouldaboughts every time I see a pair.

Can I get a size recommendation for Grayson's? Saw some cool looking ones in bourbon on Red Clay Soul. Anybody have them in that color? Versatile?

Park Ave calf: 10EE
Dalton cordovan 10E
Patriot calf: 10EEE
Patriot cordovan: 10E
Centerfielder: 10EEE

Split the difference and get a 10EE?

Question: Do you guys really wear your pants rolled up? Or do you just do that for the photos?

I do not wear jeans at all currently so is that just for jean/denim crowd?

I find the look very feminine but will admit that for the last several years have not been very much into any fashion other than comfortable. Believe me the first time I saw a guy in skinny jeans/pants I wanted to punch him the throat...seems that is a popular trend and no longer bothers me at all. Not that I am ever going to sport a pair or drink Kosta Browne so perhaps I just have to accept my non trendy self. I will crawl back under my rock now.

Yes, a lot of people do. The only time I wear my jeans cuffed is when I'm wearing boots. I just like the look of the jeans a bit shorter with boots.
Edit: Although I shouldn't because I am short and it makes me look shorter!

Many times people will cuff jeans that are selvedge denim.

Take a read of this:

Do it for me! For me!

I'd do it myself for $200 but 400 for a navy boot is too rich for me right now. Oh well!

Maybe those interested should chip in on a pair; then send them around to everyone so we can see what they look like in the flesh. Haha!

When you come back out from under that rock, Kahuna75, roll up your pants once or twice!  Couple things, though:

1) Only do this if your pants/jeans have the length to pull this off; if they're not, you'll be looking like you have 'capri pants' on, and;

2) I'm much less inclined to roll up in shoes than I am in boots.  Today I'm rolled up, but the pants (not jeans) are long enough and sweet enough for me to rock rolled or down:

The boots are not AE today; sorry (sacrilege, I know)... Was gonna rock my Olive Neumoks with these pants, but the crepe soled Thomas Dean suede chukkas won out! It's merely a twist on what are limited options for men in wearing an item of clothing in a different way.  Oh...and no throat punching today, either, young man!!! :box:

Thanks all for the responses, glad to have learned some new things. I do prefer cuffed pants so perhaps I am not far off from the roll after all...I can see wanting to show off more of the Dalton for sure. Now hopefully my debit card stays in my pocket and I do not go explore selvedge denim.

Had the Olive Neumoks out today too but put them back as it seemed we might have had some  crappy weather so I put on the black AE Halsted's vibrum soled which without a doubt fit me best of all my AE shoes. LOL I will be sitting on my hands.
