I'm thinking all white with a natural welt.

Just requested a few different swatches to get an exact color for some of the colors. I wish suedes were included.

Just got my Hales and two Fifth Aves back from recrafting. They look great!

This guy.

Can't rightly wear them for another month or three, but I'm really excited to find loafers that don't fall right off my feet. SO MUCH WAX BLOOM -- they must've been hanging out in a warehouse for half a decade. Sometimes it's worth being a weird size.

Incidentally, this shoebox has made it through quite a few rounds of price increases...

Congrats on your new shell loafers! I'm also looking forward to warm weather and the chance to finally start wearing loafers again, it can't come soon enough :)

I got mine true to size and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable boot.

On a different note, does anyone know if AE will recraft BB shoes? There is a pair of brown BB Park Aves at the shoebank I want to pull the trigger on...

Thanks! Y'know, a year or two ago I wasn't sure what you meant about "old" burgundy shell vs. "new" burgundy shell -- but with these it's blatantly apparent. They've got so much more of a ruby tone than my boots and gunboats. It's gorgeous.

They've got burgundy shell Leeds in my size as well, also from at least three years ago. I may have to make another purchase in six months at the next $299 sale.

Yes, they do.

I wouldn't be so sure there will be another such shell sale.  All signs point to shell becoming much more scarce going forward.  Horween just can't get the horse butt like they used to be able to.  If I were you and I wanted those Leeds, I'd dig deep and get them now.  Just my $.02.

I agree. While not definitive, my SA from the shoe bank mentioned that it was unlikely shell would ever be this price again. She pointed to the fact that their shell retail price has gotten higher over the past few months.

Does anyone have list of what the shoebank has in 10 E? I'm swimming in the 10EEE and am waiting for a response. Thanks.

Why wait?  I wore my walnut Jermyns with Swims today.  I generally reserve them for warmer weather, but a couple of my cold-weather outfits require this shoe.

Not my experience per se.   I wear boot socks with boots.  Long Branches are TTS if you wear continue to wear a dress sock but too narrow otherwise.  The leather is soft and will presumably break in, but  a proper boot (worn for occasions that demand a boot) should be roomy in the forefoot; too big is always better than too small.  I would recommend increasing width by one size.  Unfortunately, if you're an E like me, this isn't an easy option.

Nice burnish on those, sir... From the factory like that, or did you add something?  I like that you're not afraid of color, 1/8.

I have a trip to Philly next week for a few meetings and I have been to Chestnut St shop a few times. Problem (or blessing) is, I trust advice here more than there from my experiences. I have my fit dialed for 5-last shoes. However, I have read about people going with different AE sizes on the same last between calf and cordovan. Will probably stop in though....
