Are any of them actually worn or they're just in pristine condition?

I already own a pair of walnut strands and they fit very well. Like wearing old baseball gloves on my feet. Any bowing with them is very minimal.

I think these are just warped/bowed out of the box. Take a look at how they arrived:

This is bad even for a pair of seconds, right?

I'm wondering whether I should try again with a different pair or just bite the bullet and buy some firsts.

I stand corrected. Those definitely look warped.

That said, I dunno. If they fit right/feel good, I still might keep 'em...

I think a one-piece oxford would be incredible with a tux or tails.  Have you looked at the Hanover:

I would not take a chance with a one-piece in cordovan though. I was a professional classical musician for 13 years, and I used one of 2 pairs of concert shoes for every concert and gig I performed starting from my undergraduate years.  I still have those 2 pairs of shoes, and after probably a couple of thousand shows, several resoles and many new heels, one pair looks ok (a pair of water buffalo Dacks), and the other looks great (a pair of Church's).

Is that second pair up there MacNeils?  What color is that?

I emailed Allison a couple months ago when the Hanover came out -- but it's on the 333 last, which doesn't exist in a 14AA.

That happens a lot. It's why I was so mind-blown when it turned out the Carlyle can be had that narrow. biggrin.gif

I enjoy horn an awful lot (just had a two-hour rehearsal this evening) but undergrad really helped me to realize that it wasn't a career on which I should hang my hat. I can't quite treat it with the ambition, tenacity, and resourcefulness that you pros do.

These are just four of the MTOs I've had made.  Here's the list:

Black calf Wendell

Cappuccino shell McAllister

Cappuccino shell/walnut shell Shelton

Walnut shell MacNeil

Burgundy shell Lexington

Blue/white Neumok

Orange/white Neumok

White Neumok

Brown shark/chili shark Shelton

Black shark Clifton

On the way:

Black shark Eagle Country

Bayfield (all the normal specs, just a funky size)

To round out my MTOs I've been thinking about:

Burgundy shell Wendell

Brown shell Townley

Brown shell Leeds

Brown shell Auburn

Burgundy shell strand

What do you guys think?
