I am tempted to get the Rothsays. How is the fit on that last. Anyone has pictures of theirs after some wear. I am considering an MTO with a dainite sole instead of the harrier.....

@halfnhalfnhalf If you start running out of AE purchases for yourself, I'm always available to be next in line =] I would cherish them, almost equally as much as you do.  Or, can I move in or swap jobs? :D

Oh and thank you everyone for the shoe traveling tips/ideas. I ended up putting them in main luggage, with shoe trees and bags (I'm not worried about the weight).

Info?

Only hearsay, to be honest. Unconfirmed rumours and a bit of off the record talk. However, AE pulled the Promontory Point off the website for a while, and then suddenly it reappeared a few weeks ago on sale.

I made a couple last minute changes to my Eagle County MTO. In particular, now that they have Natural and Golden Brown Chromexcel (confirmed from Allison), I will be going with the latter instead of Brown. Also, I decided to go with a Mini-Lug Tap Sole with leather midsole for double sole width:

Model: Eagle County
Size: 8.5E
Upper: Golden Brown Chromexcel
Stitching: Contrast, Khaki (to match "Brown with Reverse Smokey Stitch" welt)
Lining: Independence
Insole: Independence
Welt type: Split Reverse
Welt color: "Brown with Reverse Smokey Stitch" of the Wilbert
Edge dressing: Light Brown Transparent
Eyelets: Copper Agatine
Speed hooks: 5-holes/4-hooks instead of 6-holes/2-hooks/1-hole as it comes.
Sole: V-Tread Combination Mini-Lug Tap Sole with Leather Midsole

It should look a bit more casual than I was originally going for, which I'm getting excited about. Uppers should be cut on Thursday.

Yeah, I saw those too... Pretty sweet. They look a lot different in true to life pics than the website. Much nicer toe shape.

...I'm going to need more shelves.

Edit: It appears they are on backorder and will ship on February 21st :sneaky2:

I've ordered them a couple of times when they were on backorder, and they were shipped within a week.

Which isn't to say that the same thing will happen to you... but rather that I think they're very conservative on their expected ship dates.

Anyone know if any of the factory outlet stores are currently having sales, or will be soon?

Does Wolverine sell the seconds elsewhere?

Hmmm, There's gotta be some boots that were released that used the forbidden last.  Kinda like this:

Does anyone have a sample pic of an AE shoe with exposed "copper" colored metal eyelets?

I got a call tonight from a JAB store about 250 miles away from me.  Mine are being shipped directly to me from that store, as opposed to from a warehouse.
