Neither. That shell color is extinct for the time being

They can do black, I believe.

Thanks! I really dig the look!

These are some other methods I like. They all look relatively the same. Anyone have any suggestions of pros/cons?

This is some hybrid style i made up! It worked for odd numbered eyelets...

Tried to give you a visual:
Dotted lines mean go underneath.
Seven rows of eyelets; row 1 is bottom row...

Start going through top of row 1;
Cross and go up through top of row 3;
Go straight down to row 2 (dotted);
Cross and go up to row 4, through top;
Cross and go to row 6, through top; go straight down to row 5 (dotted);
Cross and go up to row 7, through top of eyelets... Tie sweet bow and enjoy! ...watch how you cross, so that your laces are parallel as they cross on top (does that make sense?)

I don't mind sharing! It worked nicely on my Larchmonts. I'm trying to remember what it started as before I tweaked it; I'll post it if I find it...

...Henceforth referred to as 'yoshi' lacing. :teach:

If you are talking about the Newbury St store, i can assure you the strands on the shelf are the brown you see on the website now.  I know, hard to believe right?  Those poor shoes have been sitting out for about two years now and they look more faded and helpless each time I walk in there.  Those were brown.  When I got mine, I noticed they were a bit darker than those and darker that the website's pic as well.  Still a gorgeous color, but ya... those shows have had it.

Next time I am in there I am going to bring my own polish and have at it.  They won't mind.

Wouldn't faded-to-Walnut be a good thing? Anyone can buy not-faded-and-still-Brown. ;)

PSA: JAB trees now at $8.50 a pair (they were still 50% off yesterday). I'm starting to run out of shoes to put them in, so I got several pairs for my brothers instead. :fonz:

For reference, shoe trees are ALWAYS low inventory at JAB so they can never be shipped internationally.

AE. Firsts. Had been languishing on a shelf at the Boston store since God knows when. Right place at the right time!
