Sounds like you have a low volume foot. I'm the same way. 10.5D on Brannock and in Nike. I wear 10D in all my AE's and in Red Wing boots. I put a tongue pad in one pair that laced together all the way.

Doorbell just rang and the FedEx driver handed me a box with my Brown/Brown Hamptons that I just ordered on Monday evening......and I live in Canada! Priority shipping rocks!

They are seconds but I can't find anything wrong with them. For $159 they satisfy my need for a dark brown dress shoe.

FYI. Because they are close out shoes, I was told by Kristle at Jville that there are still some firsts left for $199.

I thought the grain leather would make these shoes more casual but now that I see them in person, I would not hesitate to wear these with a suit.

Less than an hour later I am now setting my sights on Bourbon Strands. When will the madness end????

I was thinking the same thing, either a tongue pad or possibly an insole to help take up more volume in the shoe

Seems like this will be a Dalton week for me.  Burgundy shell today (from the Webgem sale over a year ago).  Should probably have worn darker denim with these.

1 Alden then stop?  All the best for you :nest:.

Haha seems like a silly thought doesn't it? Maybe I should just stick with AE then, though there are a few tempting Alden shoes/boots I like...

Nice! Deciding what to get next after walnut strands. Another color strands, park aves, mcallisters? I realized that I probably wouldn't wear any of these jeans

Thanks, 1/8, but I think I'll stick with dark denim!

You're on this thread and posting, getting the walnut Strands, and you think you're going to be done.  Yes, you're kidding yourself big time.
