Only the thing is I have the Fifth Street in brown, so this would be second pair of brown boots. I have walnut in Dalton and MTO'd Eagle County in merlot...

I can't get both as much as I'd love to...

Looking at the seconds listing and it's all very tempting. However, I'm not sure if all of them are "regularly priced seconds" because some of these deals would be ridiculous. Let's hope they are :)

Custom order fee is waived if you mention this thread. Cost would be the cost associated with purchasing the upper. You can change linings and out soles for free.

I highly recommend calling if at all possible.

Awesome, thanks for the info Mike - sounds like a cracking deal! And the person I should try to speak to is Allison?

Nice avatar. Are you a jazz musician?

No. They're on sale for 229. The $50 or $100 off promotion wouldn't stack on top of the sale price. It's for full-price seconds only.

You lucky bastard, I was just about to pull the trigger when I noticed it had already sold. Sure does look like shell , but it might be lacquer calf.

Edit: looks like they may be lacquer calf based on the wear pattern from this pair that looks very similar. http://www.etsy.com/listing/120585299/vintage-60s-wine-burgundy-allen-edmonds?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=Allen+edmonds&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=KR&ga_search_type=all

I'm still rooting for shell, though. Lemme know how they turn out.

OK, found them in the Fall 1982 catalog.  They were called the Andover and they are evidently made of not shell but instead what AE calls "polished cobbler" calf (not sure if that's the same as "lacquer calf").  More to come after they arrive . . .

Anyone else notice that the current Fullerton used to be called the MacNeil in the late '50's AE catlogues? They look nice... thinking about picking a pair up.

Why does your link connect through "ShareSale.com" when you click on it?

It looks like the forum does it by default, probably to make money.  Hover his link and it definitely points directly to allenedmonds.com.

Can anyone clarify the current promo of $50 off the first and $100 off the second pair of seconds?

Over at ThisFits he quotes the prices of Strands and Park Avenues at $199 so the math comes up to $248 for the pair, which is $124 each.

However, asking for the stock list at the store, it quotes the prices of the Strand and Park Avenue at $269 each, which would make it $388 for two pairs and $194 each. Is this a good price for seconds?

Below is what they had in 8D at 1030am EST, maybe we can save them a few emails. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I have a question I've been meaning to ask fellow Neumok owners, do you guys use shoe trees in your Neumoks? I used them for my snuff suede and I felt like it stretched the heel causing some heel slip when wearing them barefoot that wasn't there previously. I figured it had to do with the flexibility of the unlined leather.

Thanks in advance guys.

I do.  I haven't noticed any stretching in mine but I haven't had the shoes for very long.
