I own 7 racks and just ordered 7 more. I like them, but they're not worth $35 for AE-branded. They seem kinda flimsy when you pick them up, but are pretty solid when set up on the ground. I've got all 7 stacked on top of each other. I wear a 12 EEE, so I have to monkey with the shoes to get 4 pairs to fit. If you have a smaller foot, they should fit fine.

I ordered my first 7 for $70 when Jos A Bank had their big Christmas sale. They're exactly the same as the Woodlore/AE ones, only with a different medallion. Just ordered another 7 Woodlore-branded racks. I think they came out to $115 with a 20% off coupon, including shipping at holdnstorage.com. I got the large ones: http://www.holdnstorage.com/large_cedar_shoe_rack-wl_82001.htm . The code should pop up when you hit the website for the first time. When I get time I'll take some pics.

Found a minute. Here are my seven racks. My boots are hiding out somewhere else until the other racks get in...

Here are my orange and white Neumoks. I was surprised to see the white is not textured like the orange is. Same orange as my Horseman webgems from Holloween. I like the orange in the inside sole too.

Thank you for the response. So do your boots not fit on them properly? I also wear size E or EEE thanks to my bunion. Very nice collection btw!

Thanks! The boots fit just fine; I just have too many shoes.

Anyone own the AE shoe racks? My collection is growing and I need to find a way to store 4 pairs of boots and 4 pairs of shoes. The bottom of my closet can no longer accommodate them without having them touching each other or the wall.

Any opinion on quality would be appreciated. Of course pictures would help too.

I have 5 of them and bought dowels to replace the 1.5" dowels that connect them. I found them to be way too close together and this gave them a couple extra inches. I'll see if I can get a pic tomorrow!

I've come to the decision that I cannot wait for AE to come out with a PTB in suede any longer. The weather is changing here in southern Louisiana...the air is warming, the crawfish are boiling and I need some dirty bucks! I would love any input from you fine gents on alternative choices.

I can get these for 114.75 after a 15% discount and also would be able to try them on at the store.

I realize the quality is not top notch, so I'm open to other suggestions.

Walkover is a good suggestion. Also try Gorilla Shoe, which is also USA-made and welted. Here is an example:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GORILLA-WED...55?pt=US_Men_s_Shoes&var=&hash=item2a1056168b

I often see these discounted. I'll bet with a little online searching you find a pair of Walkover or Gorilla - assuming you like the styles.

Good call there. Alden makes a nice range of suede PTBs in brown, snuff, navy, and white (maybe). They can be found at any of the Alden branded shops (NYC, DC, SF). I have a pair of navy suede PTBs which are excellent.

Having said that, the suede AE Neumok is also a favorite of mine (though not a PTB).

I got notice that my red and whites shipped yesterday and I will receive them today. Seeing your orange and whites has me really excited to get mine.

Heya all!

Awesome rack of gear there polojock615 :)

My Fifth Avenue boots in dark brown arrived today, very happy with them probably better than I was expecting, think I prefer these over the Walnut daltons but in fairness to the daltons I haven't given them much of a go.

Does anyone have any experience with the Haight boot in the 6 last? Seems like a good boot for casual / smart casual, thinking of picking it up but would be great to hear any members opinions on that last as seems like it might be wide in the toe area.

Great shoes, although those almost look chili in color.

Did you use the walnut AE polish?  I know everyone likes to talk about the walnut polish darkening walnut leather . . .

Saphir reno, AE walnut creme polish, and time.

Saw the Spring line up in person today, and I was actually surprised at how much I liked the Sapienza and the Franciscan. I was worried the Franciscan would look too square-toed, but I compared the Bel-Airs I had on to them, and the toe profile was nearly identical. The Sapienza in Bourbon was most surprising, as I thought it looked hideous online, but really liked them in person. They also have a really nice nubuck wing-tip coming out, which is not yet on the website. Unfortunately, IIRC, it is being offered in 3 funky colors (blue was the most conservative I recall) with a red brick sole. Still not sure there's anything from this season's lineup that will compel me to add to an already crowded rotation.

I was in an AE store the other day and took a look at all of them as well. I agree that the Franciscan and Sapienza actually have a good look to them in person. I think they have the potential to be successful shoes. Also, I was guilty of bashing the Banchory a few weeks back when it was first posted on their website. I have to say, in person, it isn't bad at all. It is pretty much just a gunboat made from Neumok leathers. I still think the pictures online make it look pretty cheap and ugly, but in person I think it would appeal to many Neumok lovers.

Did you try Larrimor's? I know they also have some AEs in stock if you're looking to get the right fit. They have an AE trunk sale coming up soon (March 14-17), but I don't know the details of what will be promoted (at the 1 PNC location).

I did go to Nordstroms in Pittsburgh, But they only have the 5 and 8 last in stock. (not even in my size) I had to try on a 8.5 D. The 8 last is too big in the heel, so it's not going to work. I have one more store to try out, Gordons in Pittsburgh, but they are going to have the same problem, 10 different styles, but only 2 to 3 lasts in the style of shoes that I would like to purchase, which I probably allready tried on. I might just have to go on a road trip to ohio..

The really high end shoe shore here dosn't sell AE's any more. The sell Aldens, Carmina and other top end shoes. I might just have to get measured there. The owner does know all the lasts since he has worked with AE for 35 years, just dosn't have then in store. He can order any I would like.
