Hey guys,

Looking to sell my Brown Hamptons, size 11.5D. If anyone is interested let me know, asking price is $80.

They have only been worn a handful of times and have of course been taken care of like they were gold!

Send me a PM and I will give some pics.

Wood any of you guys actually wear these in your AEs?

Now you apparently can have cedar in your shoes all the time. Strange idea but I might try a pair in my Port Washington boat shoes. I'm normally a terry cloth insole kinda guy...

I'd definitely do the salmon after, like you said...don't want my feet smelling like fish.

I also recently had the sole of my Quentins start breaking apart after only 3 wears (Danite sole). I brought them in to the AE store in Rockefeller Center. Even though they were closeouts (possibly seconds), they sent them in for a recraft at no charge. I just got them back after only 2 weeks. Even though I am disappointed that the sole fell apart, I am impressed with the customer service.

I'm mulling over either a Shaker Heights or Haight, but a little nervous about the fit of either.

Also, I bought 3 pairs during last month's sale, so perhaps I should slow down...

Any Nordstrom Store will ship directly to a Canadian's home for a nominal postage price, and free return label.

I can't speak to width -- but when it comes to length, space between your toe and the front of your shoe is not the primary concern.

A pair of dress shoes are usually designed so your toes don't sit where the shoe ends, you should check if the ball of your feet is at the widest part of the shoe.

Just ordered a pair of black Kenilworths after an local AE trunk show!  (No local AE store...)

A couple of interesting points of info from the AE rep:

1: they are changing the numbering/last system - i.e. the model number will not necessarily reflect the last number.  They are not getting rid of lasts or anything, just "running out of numbers."

2) the Kenilworths cost less than other 360 goodyear welt shoes because they are easier to make (fewer pieces of leather, less stitching) not because they are less all made.  (Not sure show true that is, but that's what he said.)  When I discussed the wholecuts, he explained that those are actually harder to make (stretching on the lasts, need large price sod leather), which makes sense.

3) although sizing can vary from last to last, he said that sizing in fairly standard sizes/widths (e.g. 10d) will be pretty consistent across multiple lasts.  I think that is consistent with my experience.

Sounds like good advice. Thanks for the input (wurger, random-adam, and others).

I personally don't think you have too many as long as the ones you have get worn. Shoes are suppose to worn and not stored in a closet.

On a side note I ordered a pair of cappuccino shell Jeffersons that shipped out yesterday. Yours look great and I can't wait to get mine. Also, where did you find Ravello shoes at?
