Seasoned AE Vets,

Was wondering if AE does anything special for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. If so, what were the past two or three Black Friday/Cyber Monday specials like?

There's also the Sanford, but that may be discontinued or only sold at Nordies (cant remember). I've seen the Madison Ave at nordstrom rack. I'm pretty sure they don't make that anymore.

FWIW the Sanford, at least mine, is a half brogue blucher.

I just used Obenauf's LP. And as an FYI, I got mine at a Cabelas - they had big displays of the LP and Oil. I got some of each. LP is totally natural and a great skin moisturizer, so you dip your fingers in and slather it onto your boots with your bare hands - your skin warmth liquified it and helps it absorb. Leather is an animal's skin - you wouldn't use a cotton cloth to rub moisturizer into your own hands, so don't for your shoes either.

Take your pair to an AE store and see what they can do. I can almost guarantee they will help you out.

I second this questions.

Two years ago, I remember great sales on seconds for all boots.  I also remember Amazon having a great sale where I picked up Malvern firsts for $189.

I can't remember anything about last year's sale, so it must not have been that special.

I sent them an email. I think it's just a defect with the PA's. The strands have that extra brogue strip around the top line so maybe they keep better?

The question isn't should you be contacting AE directly, the question is, why haven't you yet?!?

Stick around this thread on the days leading up to BF and you'll get a full run down.  Typically, the outlets run a sale on specific shoes, usually pretty good deals.  As is mentioned elsewhere on this thread, the best bet is to get a full list of everything that they have in your size and see what makes sense for you.  Last year, I got a pair of bourbon Mcallisters for $99.

Also, some of the outlets stay open all night, with extra good deals available from midnight to 4 or something like that.  Phone orders are of course taken too.  I remember getting a pair of 5th street boots for $99 a few years back on that deal.

Very intriguing! guess I will have to save my pennies.

I'm just very scatter brained at this point. Imagine getting your hopes up 4 times in a show and then getting crushed. I considered trading them for Black Strands because I've had better luck with the Walnuts. They just seem to fit completely different overall which doesn't make any sense to me.
