^^Bourbon Strands are a hit. BB fifth ave looks great as well. I have called ae outlet today and scored my self a pair of RL Slaton in tan. Unfortunately they were out of brown in 8.5D. Brown Slaton are a great looking pair. Bought 4 pairs of shoes in last 3 weeks.2 RL Marlow shell and c&j Sydney loafers. Tempted to order the strand and the BB Fifth ave. I like the topy - it saves me $45.
How much is the Bourbon Strands ??

My Sandersons arrived! The fit is a little bit roomier to me than the Strands I tried on, but it's actually a bit more comfortable out of the box. I found a couple little flaws, but actually fewer than on the full price Strands that I kept having to return for issues. Color me pleased so far!

I'm thinking about getting some of the custom Neumoks in black and gold, but I wish I had a better sense of what the "gold" color looks like (seems kind of tannish?). Anyone have insights?

Sanderson are too narrow for me. I have them in us8D but they are a actual “B”. I also have strand in same size and strand is much roomier in the toe box.

I ordered from both Leeds in AL and the Shoe Bank.  Leeds charged sale tax, even though I am out of state, FYI.

I'd say the BB/RL shoes might be a little better finished than my other AE's, but just barely if at all.

I like the stitched down topy on the BB myself.

Do you have any AE stores in your state? If you do, they are required to charge you tax.

No, in my view. You're likely to get creases like that in that area after a little wear anyway, IMO. I have some on the left shoe of the Fifth Aves im wearing right now.

I couldn't tell you exactly what causes it, but common wisdom seems to say it's a quirk peculiar to the fit of the Park Ave and that there's not much you can do about it.

Bexcellence, what's the deal with asking this question every few months? If I recall correctly, you rejected all the advice on the gap issue and just returned the Park Avenues to buy a different shoe.
