Every day and any day? If that's true this is really dangerous.

Would it not be amazing if AE started releasing lasted shoe trees? I have so many 1-Last and 5-Last shoes, that I would love inserting a lasted shoe tree in there

IF lasted shoe trees really are much better than normal ones, and DO help the shoe keep it's shape better, I would totally shell out 60-100$ for a lasted shoe tree.  They wouldn't be that hard to make, couldn't they just convert the last used to make the shoe into a shoe tree?

Wonderful in theory, but I suspect that $100 shoe trees for $350 shoes might be a tough sell. They are pretty expensive to make, and given the huge number of size/last/width combinations that AE offers, would be costly stock to carry.

That will never happen. They are way too many length, width and last variables...

what if they just did it on an MTO basis?  Just curious though, are they really that beneficial?

This would be great but I think this was discussed before that given the fact that AE actually doesn't have, for instance, a single 5 last, but rather 5 last in different lengths and widths, this is likely unfeasible.

On an individual order basis, they would be even ore costly to the buyer - for the same reason that MTO shoes generally carry a premium.

I have lasted shoe trees in some of my shoes - they definitely fill out the interior better than $20 generic cedar trees, as expected - but I'm not sure they are worth 5 times the cost (or more, for some brands) in any practical sense.

Basically, the difference between using decent quality generic trees and no trees at all is huge. The difference between using decent quality generic shoe trees and lasted trees is very small.

I agree with all of this.

I spoke with them and it works on full price seconds only. Which makes sense.

thats what I suspected.  IF they offered a significant increase in the life of a shoe compared to your good quality non-lasted cedar trees I would be willing to pay the money to have them custom made.  Alas it does not seem that they offer such benefits, so not only would it not be beneficial for AE to produce them, it would not be beneficial to the customer either.

Noobish question...but when you put trees in your shoes, do you lace up the shoes tightly (as if you were wearing them) or just leave them unlaced?
