A spot check for a specific style can be done at their LIVE CHAT link, or a quick phone call to the 800 customer support.

Otherwise, the best method is to email any one of the outlet stores, tell them your size(s) and they will email you a nationwide list to choose from.

Enjoy the journey,

David

Stunning, very well done

They look like they were definitely worth the wait.

I thought for a moment those were the alden naval boots. Almost dead ringers.

What are those boots? Not Daltons... and don't see anything that looks exactly like them on the AE site.

They are a MTO Bayfield in Cappucino cordovan with a wheeled welt and Mini-Lug sole

I'd like to see a side by side, rydenfan.  Those Bayfields are very, very nice.  Do you own the calf version as well?  I have a few pairs of Daltons and have been eyeing the Bayfields on Lands End for quite some time.  (Also, where'd you get the Alden naval boots?  They're not a standard model, are they?)

Good to know. That's non-intuitive

what was the final cost for these? this might satisfy my need that alden likely won't fulfill in dark brown..

also, could you have optioned out different eyelets, and/or have gotten all eyelets and no speed hooks?

thanks in advance

I find them comfortable, albeit still a little stiff, they took a while to break in. If I'm wearing them for more than 12-14 hours, or for consecutive days in a row, I'll start to get a little heel/baby toe discomfort - but I also spend the majority of my day on my feet, so that isn't too surprising. A steal for $70 - not sure of the technical differences, but they are a 'rough out' leather instead of suede. Enjoy!

Thanks for the feedback on the Big Sur. Sounds like you really like them. I thought the leather looked similar to the Katmai which is described as a waxy suede. The only image I can find for it online is for a dark brown version which does look like the leather from the rough collection, but I like the look either way!

Have you used it in the rain?
