Recent acquisitions. Brand new Mctavish in distressed brown. Cambridge in burgundy shell, a few months old--Christmas present from me to me. Walnut Jefferson, picked up in May. I sat them up on the hood of the datemobile and snapped a few pictures.
Mctavish--I have 3 pairs now: Natural, black, and now distressed brown. I prefer double oak soles, Norwich/Lubbock are my favorite AE shoes, Mctavish is a close second. Interestingly, the distressed brown looked like they were tinted a pleasing olive green when I took them out of the box under fluorescent lights but they look like a normal brown under natural sunlight or incandescent lights.
The shell Cambridges are the Lincolns of my shoe fleet--my brown shell Norwiches are my Cadillacs.
The walnut Jeffersons--the lambskin lining is markedly soft. Try on something from the Independence line, your feet will thank you.
